RK960G203 Hotpoint Range - Instructions

First I cut the power then I pulled the mounting screws, pulled hte elements out enough to get the screws out and then did it in reverse. Piece of cake.

Removed the nuts securing the element to the back of the oven, pulled out the wiring and unscrewed the wires. Went on line and found the part, ordered it, received really quickly and put the part back in the oven. Works great. Oh, I also turned off the power.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires.
Then I connected the two wires to the new element with the screws provided and simply replaced the screws that hold the element in place.

Simple repair that was complicated by not being able to remove the oven door, leaving a long reach to the element connections in the back of the oven. I was so relieved to find the replacement glass for the door on my built in microwave/oven. I was worried about shipping this tempered glass panel but it was recieved well packaged. As soon as I openned the packing, I removed 6 scews holding the trim around the oven door, slide in the new glass, reinstalled the scews and grabbed the glass ... Read more cleaner. I was finished. Removed old new one fit perfectly

turn off electricity to stove and simply remove the screws from the heating element and put new element back in place .put screws in and turn power back on and test.

As instructed in your directions

Turned off the power to the stove, pulled out the racks, unscrewed the old element and pulled off the electric connectors...easy so far...installed the new element to the electric connection, pushed back into the back of the stove and reinstalled the screws. Turned on the power and then the stove...now I can bake an apple pie!

I took out the old broiler support bar, but it was being held by one screw. I did install the new bar with one screw, but I need to obtain a second screw. I still have not located a second screw, but it is inplace.

Removed door. Take out two hold down screws for element. Hold electrical tab with pliers and remove screw on each tab. Reverse directions to reinstall. Door may have screws to remove.

Attached two light blue wires to one side and two red wires to other pole, inserted element back into rear wall and attached with two screws, Re-attached bracket holding up front of element. Re-installed door. Tested and it worked fine.

removed parts from carton,,shut off breaker to over,,cradled the flash light,removed cover plate,,removed element,,removed screws from wires,,reversed to install,,screwed wires to element,,placed element in place and installed plate nuts,,,turned breaker back on...

Broiler element arrived at my door 3 days after ordering which was nice. Apparently the billing dept. is out of the USA so don't be surprised, like I was, to find a suspicious looking charge for a currency exchange fee (mine was 42 cents). I had to drill two new screw holes in the base of the new element in order for it to fit my oven. ... Read more I also had to use heavy wire snips to cut off about an inch of the top of the new element base. The female electrical connections also had to be spread out with needle nose pliers since the new element connections were slightly thicker. With all of the issues I had I was frustrated and it took about two hours. On the other hand, the part works perfectly and was priced right. Hopefully it will fit perfectly out of the box for your oven.

I looked on Youtube for a how to video. It was accurate but the screws in my oven were NOT phillips head screws, they turned out to be sheet metal screws. I used pliers at first which was a PAIN but then I borrowed a socket wrench from the neighbor that was MUCH better!! I had wanted to do it myself to prove to my husband and son that I c ...
