RK767G2D2 Hotpoint Range - Instructions

Unplugged fridge.Removed 2 screws holding a panel. After panel removed took off old fan and inserted new. Quite simple.

Two 1/4" srews to remove the element from its mount, two 1/4" screws to remove wires and then the reverse to install new unit. Delivery was super fast and the price was half the price of the local dealers. I will certainly be a repeat customer.

My husband removed the old element by shutting down the power, then unscrewing the element. Then he screwed in the new element and turned oven on for 5 minutes to break it in.

Very simple and so cheap!

I turned off the electricity, unscrewed the old one and disconnected the electric wires, then put the new one in just like the old one. It was very easy and now it works great.

I removed the oven door and racks. After turning off the power I raised the old element up to be able to access the screws. I undid the two that connected the element to the back of the oven. After supper, without biscuits, I removed the element by simply removing 4 screws with my nut driver. We went home and I immediately went online to your web site, inserted the old element part number, followed the ordering instructions, and in 3 dayd the new element had been delivered to our door. If the bottom heating element is not glowing red when you turn the oven on replacing this part may be the answer. Look for a spot on the old element that could indicate it has shorted out and no longer carries a charge.

Do this before any other suggestions to replace more complicated parts in the thermostate etc.

The part was delivered in 24 hours with regular
shipping and was simple to replace. Uncrewed
it, disconnected wires from the old one and connected
the new one. Cost a little more than $30 including shipping and the oven works great!

Removed oven door by holding sides and pulling upward. It's easy to remove and replace. Removed shelves by sliding back and up, then out. Removed two hex nuts with socket wrench. They are on back wall of oven and secure element to that wall. I then pulled element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two leads.

the Replacement fit easily. Part was delivered the day after ordering even though I used normal delivery. Oven broke on a Thursday,ordered the part Friday morning, back in operation on Saturday

Removed screws from plate holding the element in then removed the screws from the wires attached to the element. Reversed the process and was finished. Oven is back in working order. (I am recently widowed and this is the first time I have had to do this type of repair)
