I am retired Industrial Arts teacher with two masters degrees in education. I have 35 years of experience teaching children ages 12 - 18 to safely use woodworking tools and build furniture. I also have 40 years of experience in the remodeling and construction trade. This fix was fairly easy since I was able to draw on my vast experienc e that included repairing and rebuilding numerous machines and tools.
The Process: remove old ones replace with new ones.
I am very satisfied with my experience with PartSelect.

called appliance repairman. He found problem and ordered new part. After 2 months waiting for part to get there, my husband got on internet and calld your number, and ordered what was needed. Now for the great thing. Within 4 working days we received what we thought we needed. but we had ordered the wrong part number. Got back on inter net, went right to your web site, found the part that we did need, a flame spreader instead of the Deflector. called your service number, talked to a very nice person, again, told her what we did and ordered the correct part. Another great thing, we got that part the very next day. I returned the wrong part that same day. We then had our son install it and now we have a very nice working oven. Though out this very long ordeal, we talked to the applicance service people and got the same answer. The part has been ordered and it should be here next week. When we found your web site and called for the part, I called the appliance service and told them we had ordered the part ourselves and I would be happy to give her this information. THE VERY NEXT DAY she called us to tell us the part had fially arrived and they could come out the next day. Told them sorry but it as already taken care of. The very next time we need some part for any appliance we will call you first. Thank you for your very nice service people and the fast way that this all took place.

Oven Would Not Heat To Indicated Temperature.
  • Scott from ARLINGTON, IA
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver
This repair is just straight forward switching out the parts. The new part was constructed slightly different in regards the placement of the four connecting tabs but they are marked pretty clearly. The issue I had was after everything was put back together. I turned on the oven and the preheated indicator beep and light immediately came on. . . Before the oven ever turned on the igniter. I thought perhaps I'd installed the large, white connector on the circuit board backwards and unplugged it (w/o unplugging the power). It only goes on one way. I plugged it back in, tried it again and viola, it works perfectly now. One other note: the old oven control knob would not fit the new shaft, so I had to get a new knob. The old control shaft was plastic and twice the diameter of the new, metal one.

Cracked the left burner tubes
  • JUNSOO from NORTHBROOK, IL
  • Easy
  • 30 - 60 mins
I opened cook top without disassemble cook top and broke the left front tube.
After I received left front tube and disassemble cook top to install and found right front tube also not good condition.
I ordered right front tube and installed both tube. I recommend order both front tubes to save shipping.
The tubes were easy t o install but little bit hard to remove old Electrode for disassemble cook top and to line up cook top and holder orifice screw hole for assemble.

Replace medium burner for gas cooktop
  • Charles from Houston, TX
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
Very easy to remove grates, burner cover and remove old burner head. Very simple process, but surprised that there was no efficient way to clean carbon deposits from my old burner. Burner video instructions on line insured I installed the new burner head correctly (actually, pretty hard to get wrong), and burner worked correctly immediate ly. Will likely replace other burners in time as the new one is so "silvery" colored compared to my other burners.
