RGB740BEHECT Hotpoint Range - Instructions

First I removed the back panel and then removed the four screws that hold the display board in place.I then disconnected the wires.
I installed the new board and connected the wires.
I put the back panel on.
I installed a serge protector and pluged in the range. Job completed and it worked.

1) Turn off power at circuit breaker panel
2) Slide out Range from wall
3) Unplug Range
4) Remove back panel and unplug electrical connections to socket
5) From front of oven, remove glass cover over old oven light bulb and remove flange that holds socket and bulb

7) Place new socket into mounting flange
8) Screw mounting flange and new socket into the oven from front. Reattach electrical connections from back.
9) Screw in new light bulb from front
10) Replace existing glass cover over new light bulb and snap wire holder in place
11) Replace back panel
11) Plug in range
12) Slide range back to original position
13) Turn on power

Very simple repair with no tools required. Turn off power to stove. Remove grates, remove burner, pull old Top Burner Spark Electrode up being careful not to jerk it up hard - wiggle if necessary, unplug wire from old electrode, plug wire into new electrode making sure it fits snug - if not, squeeze it closed a little at a time until it f ... Read more its snug, push new igniter into place being careful not to force it and crack the ceramic body. Install burner being careful not to damage the electrode, Install grates. Turn power back on and test to make sure it works. It took me all of 15 minutes to change 2 burner spark electrodes. The only bad thing about this repair is that the shipping costs as much as the parts.

Pretty easy in all. The connector from the igniter to teh power sorce didn't quite fit. Ijust cut off the new one and spliced the old one back on. Not a repair - just a replacement. Very easy. Just remove the grates, lift out the drip pans, replace with the new drip pans, and replace the grates. Removed the screw from the broken piece and put the new piece on and put the screw on.

Very easy install of done correctly. When you pull range out,watch the gas line and don't pull it out of it's fittings. Two small Phillips head screws on the front panel low to the sides. Read more lease take my advice and make a schematic of the wire colors and the NUMBER associated with that color wire. Once that is done remove all wires and also a green ground wire that is under a screw. The new panel may NOT have the exact same configuration but the NUMBER on the terminals will be the same. Plus all color wires to the appropriate terminals and reinstall !! Great job!!

repair was easy enough, but the kit came with female ends and needed mail ends. I had to splice old connecters to new igniter

Just put it on. Quite proud of myself for figuring out what and how to get the part however! The website was very helpful.

I unscrewed to old glide and replaced it then re attached the screw

Took longer to open the box.

1. Unplug from electrical outlet. 2. Turn off gas valve. 3. Remove oven door. 4. Remove bottom drawer. 5. Remove oven shelves. 6. Remove oven floor, take out the two screws at the rear. 7.
