Stove would not heat up

  • Tim from Pittsford, NY
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins

Cut old wires to receptacle, striped the wires, wire nutted to new receptacle, screwed new receptacle into stove and installed heating element.

Piece of cake, but then again my degree is in electrical engineering so I should be able to handle a couple of wire nuts.

The ONLY reason I am answering this questionaire is to complement Partselect.com for their incredibly fast shipping of my parts after I placed the order. I received my order within 2-3 days with normal shipp ing. I expected to wait at least a week or longer. Thanks again Partselect.com for being there when I needed you the most!

So often we feel inclined to contact repairmen for simple jobs. This was easy because I ordered the part by looking on the side of the range. It arrived in less than a week. I simply snap the bowls inside the correct sockets and now my stove looks new. I definitely would use this service again.

  • DAICHI from Louisville, KY
  • Really Easy

First I disconnected the power, removed the screw that hold the element in place. Then, I pulled the element out and cut the two wires. I connected the two wires with the new element as the instruction provided by Part Select. I put the element back and screwed it in place. I plugged in the power and turned on the burner. It works. It is really easy to repair.

It was a rather simple fix--just replacing burner pans
3 of 5 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Vicki from Jefferson, IA
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
Problem I had was finding the right ones to fit the stove top. Burner pans that tell you will fit most stoves, do not. After I had paid over $20.00 for some that did not fit, I got on the internet, found you, ordered the replacement parts and had them within a few days. Put them in and there you go. A perfectly happy me and a nice lo oking stove again.
