RB536*T3 Hotpoint Range - Instructions

unscrew two screws pull the old element out put in new one and screw back in . We had to wire it direct because our oven had quick connect connectors and this part did not. But it was no big deal and didn't take any time to fix.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place againts the oven wall. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. The hardest part of this entire repair was locating the right socket and explaining why/how I burned my fingers (yes I had to touch the element to prove to myself it was that easy to fix and worked). 4 screws, 1 replacement part 5 minutes no cussing. This was the easiest repair I have ever done.

The complete repair was quick, easy, and painless. Not only did my item show up sooner than I thought the whole replacement took only 15 minutes, tops, to complete. I even had my 18 months old daughter helping too.

Then I removed the two mounting bolts on the support plate, that holds the element in place, from the rear wall of the oven. Then slide out the element just far enough to gain access to the wires that are attached to the element, about 3-6 inches. Carefully removed the two wires from the element with a screwdriver, noticing how flexible the ends of the element were. Removed the old element out of the oven. Placed the new element into the oven and then reattached the two wires to the new element terminals, being careful not to bend the ends of the element too much, very flexible!! Slide the element back into place and then reattached the mounting bolts. Turned all power back on to the stove and then turned the oven on and presto!, my oven is fully functional again.

Removed the screws. Pulled out the element and disconnected the wires. Attached the wires from the new heating element and screwed it in.

I was lucky to look at other repair stories because I forgot to turn off the power!!! Nothing happen to me, but it was as simple as everybody else said. I turned off the breaker, removed two screws that held the element in place, pulled it out about four inches, disconnected the screws securing the wires to the element. Removed the old element, placed the new one in the oven and reversed the procedure.

I used a philip screw driver to remove two screws which enable me to pull the wires out about three inches from the back of the oven and replaced it with the new one after disconnecting the wires from the grill. The hardest thing was the limited space.

Turned off breaker,first . Then removed 2 nutscrews and pulled unit out , 4 inches ,removed 2 nutscrews joining the 2 wires and the 2 terminals of the bottom element. Removed bottom unit and replaced with new unit . reversing the process. Turned breaker on and tested the oven. Works fine. Took less than 15 minutes.

I removed the screws holding the element in place. I pulled the element out from the back of the oven about 3" and then disconnected the two wires. Read more lled it out 4 or 5 inches and unscrewed the wires and connected the wires to the new element. I then threaded the wires back into the hole at the back of the oven and screwed the element back in place. Works perfect.

First, turn off the power. Remove the two retaining screws, pull out the broken element far enough to unscrew the connectors, remove the element, reconnect the new element, screw it back in, turn the power back on. Yes, it is that easy! Took me all of five minutes. Took longer to find my tools!

I simply removed the 2 mounting screws, pulled the element out a few inches, disconnected the 2 screws holding the wires to the terminals and reversed the order for assembly.

REMEMBER to turn off the breaker at the panel because the wires are still hot even though the oven control itself is off (trust me!!!).

The bake element was completely missing from the stove. There were two wires sticking out of the back of the oven, one with a terminal on the end and the other with the insulation still on and no bare wire showing/ The right side mounting screw was there..

The left mounting screw hole on the oven had been drilled out oversized, ... Read more so I drilled another hole in the mounting plate above the original., after attaching the element with a single screw.

I removed the one screw, removed the bake element and pulled the electrical wire without the terminal end. Next, I put a terminal on the wire and attached the wires to the element. Finally I installed the element with the two screw into the rear of the oven.

Unfortunately the element didn't work, so my next step is to trace the wiring and determine if a switch or thermostat might be faulty. I have checked the continuity of the wires from the bake element to the thermostat.

Installed the new bake element, by connecting the two wires to the element, with the two screws, then pushing the element back in place , attaching the element to the back of the oven, with the two metal screws, finished with the installation, turned power back to the oven , and tested to make sure the oven worked , all done.
