Pliers, Socket set
Removed two socket head screws form inside oven rear wall. Pulled element out and disconnected two screws attaching wiring. Replaced with new.

The oven heating element was broken

I removed the 2 screws and the 2 wires from the broken heating element. I removed the broken oven heating element. Then I attached the 2 wires to the new heating element and put the 2 screws in to attach the new heating element into the oven. The new oven heating element worked just fine and I was done.

Bake element developed a hot spot that burned through it.

Easily removed two screws, pulled the wires out of the oven wall, disconnected the old and reconnected the new, pushed it back into the insulation, inserted the screws and tightened them. er to wipe the yellow away. When I did, the model number ended up as a black smudge on my finger tip. GE's engineers could have come up with a better method of displaying the model number. GE's customer service operator, however, did an excellent job of helping me to ascertain, at least, some of the number.

t. I replaced the two screws that hold the element to the inside of the oven. Then I replaced the wires on the element where it protruded at the back of the oven. I put the back plate back on, slide the oven back in place and turned the power back on at the breaker and everything worked.

Removed 4 screw nuts and replaced with new baking element using same 4 screw nuts. Real easy job.

The small element blew out consequently shorting out the infinite switch.

The very first thing we did was turned the circuit breaker off and unplugged the range.
My husband removed the back panel and unplugged the switch. Drew a diaghram of the color coded wires. Oven lower Bake Element exploded

nnection; removed the two screws on the wire connection and replaced the old element with the new element. reinserted the unit back into position and replaced the two screws that holds the unit in the stove. Turned power back on and tested the oven for any problems. Stove is working great.

Turned off power. Removed old broken one installed new one in minutes. Turned power on and tested it out. If this 60 something lady can do it, you can too.

1. Turn off power to range and remove element.
2. Remove clips from ceramic guards.
3. Disconnect wiring.
4. Connect wires to new element.
5. Install ceramic guards and clips
6. Attached element to range.
7. Restore power.

My husband first turned the main breaker off to the stove. Pulled the stove away from wall, took off the back plate, unhooked the element and out the new one in!!

One burner was not level and the otherone I burned out tea kettle on it and when I pulled the kettle off the burner it was also not level not to mention part of the kettle was burned onto the burner.

I didn't turn the power off which was risky and dangerous, however it was very easy just removing one screw a couple of wires and installing the new one. VERY EASY!

First shut off power to the range in the electrical
breaker box (its the 220 breaker) as marked.
Remove the oven door ( open part way and lift up) the
door will come off.
Remove the 2 screws that the element is attached to the
back of the oven wall. Pull element out part way and
disconnect the 2 ... Read more wires. Take out element.
The new element had different connections so I cut off
the clips stripped the wires and attached to the element
connection . The element had connections that this was
possible. Push wires back into oven wall and install the
new element with the 2 screws that were removed. You
could also put on clips to the 2 wires that attach to the
element if so desired. (Eye hole clips.)

Unscrewed the element from the oven,disconnected the two screws for the electrical and reverse the procedure to install new element. Took all of about 10 minutes.

Very easy and simple/ After making sure power supply was off, removed socket screws in back plate of element, slid old element out, attached new element and replaced/tightened socket screws on plate and new element. Power on, oven on .. heated quickly and nicely. Used oven several times since ... no problems.
