I replaced the three sensors, 2 in the freezer 1 in the refrigerator. This was rated as the most common problem. Did not fix the problem. I then checked the ohms on the new sensors then the old sensors they were all within .5 of each other. So I got smart and went down the list of causes on their list. I ordered the part on friday payed for overnight delivery and it arrived tuesday. This as you can imagine makes me angry. But the part was easy to install and my refrigerator started working right away. I would advise anyone with this problem to start at the top of the problem list use a multi meter check everything on the list and only replace part or parts that don't come up to standards. This will save time and money and hopefully fix the problem the first time as you are not switching out parts and hoping that it solves the problem.

Repair man thought it was the control board and an issue with a relay on the board. Purchased the new board but found out the board was fine, and it was the recirculating fan that would go out intermediately.

Tried ordering that part from Part Select since they have been great, but GE discontinued the part and their was not a r ... Read more eplacement available. After much research, found the new replacement part number and ordered that, it went in quickly and for now seems to have solved the problem.

Received the wrong spring. It is larger in diameter and the legs are too long. I used pliers to modify the spring for a temporary fix. Emailed CS about the wrong part and have never received any response back?

Literally turned off the water to the refrigerator, disconnected the lines from the back and took one screw loose from the inside of the unit. Slid out old filter connection and slid in the new one and did reverse process.

Remove old filter by pulling and not twisting and insert new filter by pushing in place.

Move the refrigerator away from the wall.
Disconnect the refrigerator.
Remove bottom drawer.
Remove two criisper drawers.
Remove crisper drawer slides, one bolt near the front of each slide.
Push slides off pin at back.
Remove bottom panel at the back of the refrigerator to access fan.
Remove fan, held w ... Read more ith a couple of screws.
Remove rubber gasket from around old fan and put the gasket around new fan.
install new fan and bolt in place.
Replace lower panel at back at back of refrigerator.
Reinstall drawer slides, hook at back and bold at front
Reinstall drawers.
Reconnect refrigerator power.
Push refrigerator back in place and adjust feed to hold in place.

It dawned upon us, after stumbling across chunky milk and crisper starting to freeze items, perhaps the fridge was not working properly. Checking temps the compartment would run 57 to 59 deg F, yet the freezer was perfectly fine 0 deg F. Motherboard was quite simple: two screws for a cover on the back, unplug all the harness connectors, plug back in. Compartment fan simply slid out and new one back in with a little trickery for the wiring (I just cut the old fan harness rather than fight the wire routing plastic piece). The blend door assy was the most complicated but just a series of 1/4" nut screws and disassembly. Fridge now maintains 35 deg compartment temp. I'm not certain which component was the culprit (leaning towards motherboard, as I look back some the interior lighting may not have been working properly, which also suggest MB), however I'm glad $450 in parts brought fridge back to life any not $3k for a new one.

I used pliers to pull lightly on the head of the switch, while I inserted a small flat head screw driver into the base of switch and gently worked around the edges to free it from the panel.

This was the first time I took out the old filter on my new refrigerator and added the new one. It was a little hard getting the old one out because I was afraid to pull on it but it did come out ok and was easy to put the new one in.

After looking up what might be the problem, I ordered a new control
board. It was extremely easy to replace. Unfortunately it was not operational. I had to replace my refrigerator. The return process was very easy and my refund was processed quickly.

1. Turned power off.
2. Removed 2 screws holding plastid plate which connected electrical wire from mullion to door (requires Torq-tip screwdriver).
3. Unplugged wire plug behind the plate.
4. Lifted up old mullion from 2 slots holding it in place to remove it from door.

6. Connected electrical wire to plug inside door.
7. Screwed 2 screws to reattached plastic plate to door.
8. Turned power back on.

The glass fits easily under a plastic ridge that is the frame holding the 2 vegetable drawers below. Slide the back side of the glass under the ridge, and then gently place the front of the glass in the groove where it goes on top of the vegetable drawers.
Its Super simple, and takes literally 30 seconds to complete.

Remove all trays, no need to turn app. off,
remove cover on top of back panel, may be a little difficult
remove 2 screws , one behind top plate, one in the middle of large back cover.
remove small cover located at the bottom of the back cover discinnect electrical plug,
remove or loosen 6 screws on lower evap co ... Read more ver, there is no need to remove evap cover, just pry it loose from back.
lift back cover off and disconnect electrical fan will be at the bottom of the large cover.
run warm water over fan and push out.
remove rubber cover and install on new fan,
reinstall new fan and reverse process.
very easy and simple and only takes about 30 minutes.

I asked two strong male neighbors to do the work and told them how to do it. Follow the simple directions on the box. You can Google it, but it will tell you the same directions.

Used ratchet set, and unscrewed old one and screwed in new. Disconnected the wires and plugged in new one.
