Wrench (Adjustable)
Removed knobs and venturies. Unplugged electrical inputs. Lifted top plate. Replaced potentiometer. Replaced parts and plugged in electric supplies. Tested. Piece of cake, except for locating replacement potentiometer.

Found the service manual for Thermador CT130/CT230 online, which provides fine step-by-step instructions for this replacement (on page 2-21 in the version of the manual that I found).
It's service manual 92-02-020 (this is the March 1999 version). Should be able to find it for FREE download on several sites. Here's just one ... Read more example:
