My microwave will not heat or cook food- only 14 months old. Does this mean the megaton needs replacing?
For model number PEB7227AN3DD
PartSelect logo
Hello Velvie, thank you for contacting us. Before replacing the magnetron please inspect the high-voltage capacitor, part number PS12296267. Sometimes a faulty capacitor will not allow the magnetron to operate. Please take safety measures before testing it as it stores a large amount of charge. If the capacitor is good, the most probable culprit is a magnetron, part number PS16618683. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.
