Ignitor did not spark when turning the know
9 of 11 people found this instruction helpful.

  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Screw drivers
Had to remove the 4 range knobs, and the oven knob and then the facie. Two screws under the end caps and two on each side from the back on each end. Design defect: one of these screws which attaches through the frame to the facie also attaches the support which holds up the range top. Take that one off last. Remove the two wires that atta ch to the oven light switch. After detaching the power supply to the defective ignition unit, it just pulls right off. Push the new switch on over the knob shaft and reassemble.

Right front gas burner ignitor wouldn't spark
5 of 8 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Joseph from Lake George, CO
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Screw drivers
I used the experience of another user posted on your web site. I removed all the gas control knobs and then I followed his instructions about removing the four phillps head screws that held the front plate in place. Once I had it loose and flipped the plate out, it was simple to disconnect the old ignitor switch and install the new one. Simply reversing the process put the range back in proper order. Took a little over 15 minutes to accomplish.

1 of 3 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Gary from Shelton, WA
  • Really Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins

Pulled the power cord, and of course it stopped sparking. Removed the protection cover, I then removed the upper and lower screws with a screw driver. Pulled the module out so I could work. I removed the leads one for one with the new module just to made sure I did mix them up, and replaced the screws on the new module, but found that the re were two clips on the setting surface of the new part that needed to be clipped off with side cutters in order to set flush. completed the installation of module and protection cover.
It beats a service call. GB

Replace top oven seal
  • Linda from Oxnard, CA
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
This is a simple replacement. The hardest part was that I had to shorten the seal because it comes 15 to 17 inches. So it needed to be shortened to properly fit. I cut the seal to fit, then took the metal hook on the end and super glued it to the cut end. I put a weight on it to make sure
