The o-ring fits between the adapter and the valve body and helps to create a seal. It is made of rubber and is sold individually. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and used in water softener meters, twin tank valves, and filters made by Hydrotech and Novatek. You may need a set of pliers when replacing this part. It may become broken and will need to be replaced.
