MWD3 - Instructions

Turn off power supply at breaker . Replace old bulb with new bulb .

Unplug appliance. Remove total of 7 phillips screws from sides and front of bottom panel . Panel front drops down, remove one socket screw and socket. Now have access for lineman' s pliers to unscrew bulb base. Reinstall socket, replace bulb and 7 panel screws. Restore power.

Removed the ice brucket,
Removed the light shield by releasing one screw using a nutdriver.
Replacing the bulb and reinstalled the light shield.

Unplug the microwave. Then remove the six screws that hold the lower panel which has the light bulb cover and a couple of vent filters. The light bulb sockets are on a fixture that is connected by a quick connect electrical connector. Disconnect that and the whole panel is free to access the bulbs. I needed to use a needle nose pliers to remove the bases and then I replaced the bulbs and put every thing back together

Spouse just screwed in the new bulb and reinstalled the light cover plate with the two screws. Took under a minute. Works great.

Husband replaced the bulb

Pulled out the old clip and pushed in the new one. Only tool was my fingers and took about 20 seconds. This was after the Sear's web page said the part was no longer available and no replacement was listed.

Thanks to partselect.com I saved the microwave for another couple years.

I took it out and measured it, yeah it indeed was a problem since it's not open. Then I order the capacitor from PartSelect about $32. After 3 days I got it and installed it. Done. Sure need to put the Microwave back to wall trim. That's it. Saved about $500 buck if I buy a new one plus labor to install it. Thanks

I replaced the large capacitor (.95 uf). Much of the shell (casing) has to be removed and the capacitor is hard to get to. It is housed in a very inconvenient place. Because of the unfamiliarity of how to access the capacitor it took about an hour to get to it. After receiving the new capacitor it only took about half an hour to install i ... Read more t, re-assemble the microwave, and re-install under the cabinet. Of course a new fuse was required.

Replace the capacitor and the fuse. Then it works again. Part arrived in an open plastic bag with scratch. It looked like a returned part, but it works fine.

Found correct part number, ordered, then installed.
Ordering was quick and easy. Delivery of shelf was very fast.
Very satisfied with everything.

Unscrewed glass panel, removed old bulb, cleaned glass panel and installed new bulb. Screwed panel back into place.

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new ligh ... Removed one screw lowered glass cover removed burned out bulb replaced with new one put glass back reinstalled screw. Dune 5 minutes back in business
