The old gasket was dirty and old and it had ripped, so the fridge would no longer close. The new gasket came in and all we had to do was push it into the groves and make sure it was secure, and it was fixed. Saved me hundreds of dollars buying a new fridge.

Very easily did the repair -- popped the new door shelf right in the place of the old one! No tools needed, no hardware, easy! The part actually measured 24 3/4 but the replacement part said "26 inches" on website & this was THE replacement part. Put this off for so long--ordered part and recd within 2 days, great!

I watched the video on how to change the defrost thermostat. her ends of the wires into the wire connectors then crimped the ends of the connectors and then tried using heat on the heat shrinks but still used rubber electric tape over it. I clipped the new thermostat were the old one was and then reattached the freezer wall cover and plugged the refrigerator back in. 24 hours later I checked the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer and both are running a lot colder.

Remove screws from lower hinge and carefully remove the door. In my case it was the lower bearing, flip door upside down being careful to remove anything which might fall off first. I removed the door stop and then pulled the broken bearing out with pliers. Then I pushed the new one in and reassembled it.

The center door hinge was still attached to the refridgerator so I only had to install the bottom and top hinges. I also moved the door handles to the other side so the doors open the "right" way. The hinges were just 2 bolts and 3 screws. Now, just if the repair man from our home warrentee company would show up to fix the refridgerator.

purchased a new freezer gasket. It is still iceing in the freezer but now all over the top part and down the back. The new gasket does not secure tight enough around the entire freezer door when it is closed. It is secured properly to the door but does not "grab" tight enough when the freezer door is closed.
