The original oven handle end caps were cracked
  • Chris from New Ulm, MN
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Screw drivers
I disassembled parts and panels from the oven door as needed to remove the handle end caps. It was not clear to me what the best disassembly method was, because I used a different method when assessing the problem as when I performed the actual part replacement. The quickest way is to take the top two screws on the inside oven panel loo se, but leave them in their retainers. Remove the side trim screws on the plastic upper side pieces. Remove the four sheet metal screws on the bottom of the door, located the far right and left (two on each side). Carefully split the inner and outer oven panels to access the mounting screws for the oven handle. Replace the oven handle and reverse the disassembly process.

First, the order was shipped and delivered immediately. The model number had a wider range to select from and I had to guess which was the better fit. Other then that the new handle installation was a snap. Thank you and we would surely order from your company again.

Required removing the door, by sliding it off the hinges (open 1/4 then lift up), removing the outer frame which releases the inner glass door section exposing the door end screws. Removed the phillips head screw on each door end releasing the old handle. Inserted the new handle in the ends, screws replaced, reversing the above. Thank s for the correct part. Byron C.

Door handle end cap got brittle and broke on oven door.
  • James from Wiscasset, ME
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Socket set
Slide oven door off slides and put oven door on table. Removed 2 torx-20 screws from top of oven door on the inside. Remove 4 sheet medal screws from the bottom of door 1/4' socket heads. The inside of the door will now separate from the front of door. Now you can see 2 screws on each side of the door handle end caps on 1/4 " socket heads. Remove the 2 screws on which ever side is broken and remove old end cap and side new one on an install 2 screw. When you put door back together there are 2 spring steel spacers that fall off the top 2 screws that hold the inside and outside at the proper space! Parts Select service is EXCELLENT!!!!!

Removed door from oven. Removed all side screws and pulled front assembly from door. Discarded old screws and broken plastic pieces. Put old handle in new end caps and lined them up with screw entry holes. It took 2 people to hold the door up while pressing in the screws to enter the new plastic receivers on the end caps. A pretty eas y fix.

Pull door from oven and place on flat work surface. Remove bottom screws then the top screws and separate the two halves of the door . Remove broken door handles and replace reassemble door and place back on oven. The hardest thing was to clean the grease out of the inside of the door and get the glass clean to reassemble the door.

The range kept giving an F2 alarm
  • Les from Coal Creek, CO
  • Really Easy
  • 30 - 60 mins
  • Screw drivers, Socket set
When I got the part I removed the tin cover (two screws)on the back of the range. I removed the sensor by removing the two screws inside the oven and pulled out the sensor. taking the instructions advise, I checked the sensor with my ohm meter and although it read 1.1 ohms as compared with the recommended 1.09 ohms at room temperature in the instructions, went ahead and changed the unit. The connector did not fit my particular model so I spliced the wiring and using the two included wire nuts made the connection. I reinstalled the sensor, reattached the gas line, plugged it in and tried the oven before I put it back in place. The oven works great now and it was super easy.
