Hi temp (900 deg) engine gasket adhesive on numbs and press in. DONE !

Removed the old caps, replaced them with the new ones.

the flame spreader through the years, developed a hole above the glow coil causing the above trapped gas between the oven pan and spreader to ignite. by replacing the flame spreader the problem is gone and is now working properly. thank you, parts select for being there when i needed the part and also being reasonably priced. mike marino

determined that the top of the burner was melted and malformed. Repair was simple: lifted off the damaged burner and slipped the new one in place.

Was able to see the exact part with easy to read schematic so I knew I was ordering the right part. Then just switched out the old for the new. Looks like a new cooktop except for the scratches in the stainless, but we are working on that! Thanks!

Lifted the old one off and placed the new one on. Fits perfectly and looks great!

New burner cap replaced old; just placed over burner; no tools required.

One suggestion: burner cap should have been shipped with thicker bubble protection (easy to do). It was minimally wrapped and placed in a thin, bubble envelope, risking damage in shipping process. Luckily, the burner arrived in tact and usable.

Took longer to open the box.

Removed bottom shelf from inside oven, turned it obj and replaced the oven deflector with only a screwdriver

Just put it on. Quite proud of myself for figuring out what and how to get the part however! The website was very helpful.

I specifically asked if $16 plus would be the sole expense for this item. I was told that it would be plus there would be no cost for return of the rubber feet. Friday night order led to Saturday morning cancellation -- and Monday morning delivery despite my specific request to cancel. I am not satisfied. It seems like I have been hustled.

Turned off gas, then lifted up the burner cover and removed the old valve using a screw driver to loosen the clamp. I also had to remove the face plate using a socket set (4 screws). I didn't align the valve using the existing valves as a guide and also didn't get the clamp tight enough. So I re-aligned the valve to match the other valve ... Read more s and also tighten the clamp enough as best I could to prevent gas from leaking.

First I checked that the wire and sparker was working by switching the wires on top of the range. I did this by pulling out the sparker switching it from the back working burner on the same side. The same burner would not light so I knew it was not the sparker.

I did not take everything apart like she did. I ordered the spark module and just replaced it following her method to take off the back, switch the wires to the new module, then put everything back together again.

All burners have been working perfectly since the fix.

I removed the two range grills. Then I removed the two chipped burner caps, and replaced them with the new burner caps. I then replaced the two range grills.
