This is a genuine OEM sourced part from the Makita manufacturer. The metal, center plate is compatible with several miter saw tools. This item secures the center washer to the center cover, and also helps the blade guard to retract. This part is sold individually. A screwdriver and a wrench are necessary in making the repair.

This is an authentic Makita replacement part manufactured for use miter saws. The metal center cover fits between the safety cover and cover plate and is used to support the torsion spring that keeps the safety cover in position over the blade after making a cut.
