LMX25985SW (00) LG Refrigerator - Instructions

1. Removed old bin from ice maker(pulled it out manually).
2. Inserted replacement bin.
Total time is less than 30 seconds.

pried out old switch, disconnected wires ,placed wires on new switch

viewed video and followed instructions was a piece of cake

Pulled fridge away from wall, unplug electrical connection, open fridge door, use knife to prize out door switch, pull off and replace switch from electrical wiring.

Unplugged fridge, shut off water supply disconnected water supply from fridge. Remove screws that hold lower cover on back of fridge, removed screws holding valve assembly to fridge. I had previously watched a YouTube video (do this first!!) on a similar Kenmore model so I knew what to look out for: (1) turned off power, (2) took thin putty knife to slip under outer lip of switch (most screwdrivers are too thick), (3) wiggled switch at front end to release the tab, (4) unplugged from the socket, (5) plugged in new sw ... Read more itch, (6) popped new switch back into door, (7) turned on power. Voila !! Super easy. I couldn't believe it.

I took a very thin bladed screwdriver and took the old part out -carefully.
The new part fit in quite easily.

Replace with new switch. this is the third switch i have replaced in 10 years. the only part, besides a light bulb, that has gone bad. obviously this is a problem with this model for Kenmore, or just poor switch design.

Replaced old hose and installed the new one. Was very simple with the instructions in your email..... step by step, could not of been any similar.... you guys rock

Swapped old one with new one. New one had extra plug not needed.

I have moderate to good mechanical skills, but getting the old switch out was a sizeable challenge. Since this switch suffered some damage during extraction, I was lucky to have ordered a new one to replace it. Reinstall took approximately 90 seconds. PartSelect saved me an expensive service call.

The ice bin I ordered did not arrive on time and, when tracking indicated it was delivered, it was not here. I notified customer service and was told that they would cancel that order and I could order again.and make a payment, to include shipping, again and I would be reimbursed. Was told that it was already enroute and they would send me necessary paperwork to return it. upon receipt of the paperwork I followed the instructions bur, when I contacted UPS (as directed) was advised that I would have to pay shipping of about $19. unless Partselect requested and paid for shipping and sent me the shipping label. I received the shipping label but, when I contacted UPS was advised that I would stoll have to pay to have the item picked up at my house and, unless I wanted to pay that cost I should deliver the package to a UPS pick up location........all the way across town through heavy traffic, about 25 miles. I should have kept the second bin along with the first, given it away or thrown it away and the cost would have been re imbursed. Trying to do the right thing, I was responsible for additional cost and aggravation .......Thanks a lot!!!!

The past I ordered was broken upon delivery. I asked for a replacement and was refunded the charge. Tried to contact you but "due to covid" you aren't taking calls. Net result: I ordered the part from another source, got it, installed easily. Won't use you again.
