LFXC22596S LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Took pics of original install, removed old valve, water tubes & plugs. Installed new valve, reconnected electronic plugs, water tubes, turned water back on and all has been well since. Thank you for your timely delivery!

Pulled the fridge out.
Unscrewed the back cover and the one screw holding the value assemble.
undid the 2 hoses and replaced the part.

i changed the filter and was able to get water to the white coil at the bottom of the dispenser (left door) but could never get water to the icemalker.i also replaced the pump at the bottom of the door as well as the green ebr699172 dispenser electrical board.still can not get water to the icemaker.any help will be greatly appreciated.< ... The assembly sent is different than what is on the unit. The connectors do not match. We called and it seems you don’t have the correct part. The only part we have found will only connect the ice maker or the water. It will be a shame if I have to buy a new refrigerator.

Just like on YouTube very easy to do

Removed ice dispenser and display with small screwdriver from front of the fridge. Pried out the whole piece slowly. This exposed the motor that activates the chute. Plugged in the new motor before any removal to verify the motor was the problem. When it worked, removed old and installed new. 3 screws. Piece of cake.

Uncoupled the old connector, replaced with new connector and attached supply line. Repair easy with right part, prior to ordering the right part I had tried a compression fitting and it still leaked. U-tube and others demonstrating repair assured me I was on the right path.

I called LG and followed the instructions given over the phone. The instructions couldn't have been simpler. Disconnect the appliance for several hours and then connect again. I disconnected the appliance overnight, cleaned out the freezer, and reconnected it. Problem solved. Did not need to call a repairman and did not use the clips.

unfortunately my fridge stopped working. I purchased another but wanted to try and repair the old one. when ew one arrived, the old one was supposed to be put in garage but instead was hauled away. Had delivery return next day but they had as already removed and lost the handle screw for the bottom freezer and the screw that holds handle ... Read more in place. ordered the handle screw and picked up the nut. very simple to install the screw and put handle back on.

Remove push plate for water/ice maker switch, remove 2 screws and 2 wires for switch. Replace with new.
