Hi there, I need to purchase the ice maker assembly but I’m having a hard time finding the right one. I don’t need the auger assembly, just the ice making part. Can you guide me into the right direction?

Hello Cathy, thank you for contacting us. The most probable cause of the issue is a faulty ice bin assembly, part number PS7789317. It stores the ice until needed and comes with an auger that rotates to move the ice into the dispenser chute. We would also recommend inspecting the micro switch, part number PS3529276. It controls dispensing of ice or water when you press the dispenser lever. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Remove water inlet tube (loosen nut) and tube back to refrigerator (pull from water valve after remove cotter pin washer). 5. Detach two electrical wire harnesses. 6. Install new

Video makes it look easy. Kenmore refrigerator does not have "groove" along the right hand side of switch that allows for pushing down on release. Used a thin screwdriver to get under to push while holding switch edge with pliers. Kept slipping. Tape sides to avoid scratching inside of refrigerator.
I pulled the gasket off and installed the new one. It was very easy. All I had to do was to push the new gasket in place in the grooves in the door. The gasket I received was identical to the one I replaced.
