Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discol oring refer handles. Thank you

My undercounter ice machine grid cutter wire broke
  • Ronnie from Corpus Christi, TX
  • Really Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver
I removed the two screws that hold the shield in front of the grid and put them aside allowing access to the grid. I then removed the two screws that hold the grid in place. I unplugged the connector and then pulled it out. I reversed the process to reassemble and powered up the unit. I now have ice again. This whole process probably took me 15-20 minutes to do the install.

I installed the new thermistor and although I can see a difference in the size and thickness of the cubes that are being made, the machine still does not make a sufficient amount of ice daily. Still trying to find the correct item that needs to be replaced

our ice maker was not cutting the ice into squares.
  • Scott from Phoenix, AZ
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins

I determined it was the cutter grid because there was a broken wire on the existing one. They have to heat up and cut the ice. I ordered it and the part was at my house in 1 day. The cutter grid part was easy to install. The ice maker is working great now.

No water running across the evaporate plate
  • Scott from Las Vegas, NV
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Pliers
Since no ice was forming on the evaporator plate, I first checked to see if I was getting water. Water to reservoir was fine, but it was not moving from the reservoir. Pretty logical that something was wrong with the pump. I pulled pump out. It was locked up, with a significant amount of calcium buildup. Replaced it and all works fin e. Great ice again.

our ice maker stopped working
  • brian from columbus, OH
  • Really Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Screw drivers
I am the canteen manager at a V.F.W, our ice maker stopped working and I had an appliance technician come in and see what was wrong with it. The technician told me I needed a new compressor costing around $500.00. The next day I pulled out the ice machine and noticed there was condensation dripping on the start relay. I pulled the start r elay from the compressor and saw a lot of corrosion. I then sealed the leek and cleaned the pins on the compressor. I ordered a new $40.00 start relay (which came in no time) and installed it. It works perfect.
Thanks Brian
