I ordered this part after the sanitized light on my dishwasher was flashing. The dishes were no longer drying. My KitchenAid dishwasher's upper dishrack had several places that were completing rusting out, just leaving the skins of the plastic coating in place. Read more If you have two rows of tines that are clipped in and flip-flop back and forth on the left and right wider sides of the rack, you will need to order one or two pieces of part # PS 898500 as well. One of my tine rows was in salvageable shape, so I only needed to order one (in a second order upon discovering I it wasn't included). It wasn't difficult to figure out how the clips could come out and snap back in place. Just be careful, know that these are just plastic items and can break easily.

I cleaned the chopper and screen a few times and it continued to get blocked after a couple of cycles. Replaced the chopper assembly and now it works find.

Water was not being sprayed thru the arms. I opened the dishwasher, removed/unscrewed the spray arms and wash impeller (black plastic wheel that directs the water) and then noticed that the part below the wash impeller had broken into pieces. The dishwasher works great now.

It was my first mechanical fix. Use the web to diagnose, find the specs of the appliance and use common sense and you can do it yourself too.

By the way, the parts from this site arrived the next day.

With a screwdriver I released the snaps that held the old seal on place, cleaned the area and then simply snapped the new seal in. The remarkable part for me however, is that I placed the order on December 21st @ 3PM (in way-upstate New York) and to my utter amazement it was delivered to me the very next day December 22nd @ 9AM; in plenty ... First I removed the pins to take out the dish rack. One pin on each side. Then I removed the old tube that slid off I then rubed a small dabe of lubercant on the new tube and connected it to each end opening. They slid on with litte force and no problem Thank for helping me to locate the correct replacement and for the fast delivery.

This was a fairly easy repair. It took me a little over an hour to complete. First I flipped the circuit breaker for the dishwasher; then I removed the dishwasher from the cabinet and disconnected the supply, and return lines. I then turned the unit onto it's side, and pulled the three or so cables that went to the motor, along with the three plastic wedges that held the motor in place. I then pushed the old motor through, into the interior of the dishwasher. This required me to disconnect some additional components to get it to fit through the opening, including the large silver capacitor. I then compared the old motor to the new one, and transferred some of the parts from the old motor to the new one that weren't included with the new one. I then pushed the new motor through the opening. This required a second person, who replaced the plastic wedges, while I pushed on the motor. The cables, supply lines, drain lines, and components that wouldn't fit through the opening were then replaced; the interior of the dishwasher was also reassembled.

First i remove upper rack held in by 2 clips at end of metal tracks. Compress inside clips and pull up then slide rack out of tracks.Then remove bottom rack just pick it up.Then i removed bottom sprayer by unscrewing center thumb screw. This has to be done to expose 4 ea. star screws. Remove screws and pop screen cover off. You have to take a towel and soak up water to expose bottom of inlets and outlets for water. You will then see the chopper blade with metal screen behind it. It is held in place with on star screw to the left of round top cover. Remove cover and pull on chopper blade which will release it from fingers mated from shaft to chopper blade .While pulling on chopper blade toward front of dishwasher pull up on metal screen it will come out. Clean all food particals out i used a shop vac worked well. Be careful not to drop screws in water inlets. The plastic shaft was broken in half by a piece of dental floss wrapped around shaft. We also discoved that the water line was severly kinked in 2 places, so we installed a flexable hose. Now my dishwasher is quiet, fills much faster and all this for a fraction of the price of a new appliance. Would recommend this website.

Remove two screws at top that fasten dishwasher to cabinet. Slide dishwasher out to expose the two links that attach the door to the springs. Fit the new links to the springs and door.

that there is 90% of the repair made easy when you have the correct part. there is no better then direct replacement parts. the repair was self explanitory. one screw, two lines, lock in place, done. thanks for having the correct parts,that is what makes a job simple.

Take 10 lower star srews from inside of door (5 per/side) that hold on front. Remove front door panel. Remove 6 screws in detergent dispenser and replace.

Removed old seal, cleaned track, applied adhesive for new seal, seated new seal in track, closed door for 24 hours to allow adhesive to cure, then used dishwasher without difficulty. An easy repair.

I removed the dishwasher from under the cabinet. This is what took the most time. The motor/pump assembly is held in with one screw. After removing this s ... Read more crew the pump/motor assembly comes out with a 1/8 turn counter clock wise. The replacement pump/motor assembly was put back in in reverse order. After the pump/motor assembly was replaced I replaced the door balance cable kit on the right side of the unit. Next I tipped the unit on to its right side and replace the left balance cable kit. After this all that was left was to return the unit back under the cabinet and hook up the water supply line, the drain line, and the power.
