The real story here is that there was an ANSWER and a SOLUTION, to what was a GREAT
annoyance. If I wouldn't have found a part, I may have run off and bought a new dryer, when I really didn't need to, or paid A LOT of money for a repair man to come out. THANK YOU for your se rvice. You made my life easier.

The door catch kit is soo easy. They give you instructions on which one to use depending on your dryer and it fit perfectly into the door. This was great especially since it was so inexpensive! My husband thought we would have to replace the door.

My husband is the one who fixed the door. He said he just popped it into place and was done in just a couple of seconds! The best part though was the quick service we received. . . I ordered the part around 10:30 in the morning, and it was at my front door by 5pm the next day!!! What great service!!!! We will definitely do business a gain with partselect. Com if we ever need more parts.

The latch on my dryer door wasn't working. I was having to shove a towel in the door to get it to stay shut until I was able to repair it.
1 of 2 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Dan from Lockport, LA
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
All I had to do was get the model number off of the dryer and plug that information in online and within a couple of days the part arrived. It was great! There were directions that came with the part that explained how to replace the old latch with the new one.

I remember in the "olden days" when I would of had to call a repai r guy out and paid a lot more than the $12.00 I did to replace the part myself. And, the only reason it was $12.00 dollars instead of $5-6 was because I had it shipped overnight.

Awesome!

Dishes and glasses were not clean - soap residue
1 of 2 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Scott from Lake Forest, CA
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Pliers, Screw drivers, Wrench (Adjustable)
Finally listened to advice of others online and decided to replace inlet valve. Btw, the problem is NOT the inlet screen. It was completely clean in my case. Issue is with internal seals that swell over time and restrict flow leading to low water level.

Unplugged unit, removed lower front panel (two screws on outside upper c orners), undid compression fitting on inlet supply line, removed two screws holding valve bracket to frame, disconnected electrical connections to valve, used pliers to compress hose clamp to remove valve outlet hose, used adjustable wrench and some elbow grease to remove small inlet elbow (its on tight!) from valve inlet, put teflon tape on elbow threads to reinstall on new valve, reverse removal instructions to put everything back. All done! MUCH cleaner dishes!
