I watched the video provided first to get an idea of how it should go. The dryer I have had a different kind of door, so those instructions didn't apply. You probably don't want to publish the way I ended up fixing it, but it did work eventually. Saved me over $500!! Thank you!

The Door Catch Kit had clear instructions for installation and included multiple replacement catches to fit several different sizes/varieties of dryers. I used a screwdriver to pry out the broken door catch, popped in the replacement, and was done! As usual, PartSelect had what I needed at a good price, with clear instructions for any ne

Having read the instructions and watched the tape, I pried out the remaining catch with a flat screwdriver, read about what the color scheme on the parts wasbout and pushed in the correct part. Voila ! Done in probably two minutes.(By an 82 year old woman!)

Got online with parts select, easily found the parts needed and ordered them. They arrived very quickly. The repair itself took all of 5 minutes and now the dryer door stays shut like it is supposed to. Only complaint is shipping was more than the parts but then again, I didn't waste a lot of time running all over town looking for what I

Removed two small screws on door edge, pop out broken part, insert new part, replace screws. Took 2 minutes 18 seconds. Nice to have various door catches in the Kit. This was a repair on a 1979 Whirlpool Dryer. Great price & service!!
