This spring pin is used on trash compactors. This part works in conjunction with the drive gear that attaches to the bottom of the drive motor of the trash compactor. If your compactor ram is getting stuck, there is excess noise during its cycle, or if your compactor does not stop at the end of its cycle, the driving gear and/or spring pin may be the issue.
