My ice maker quit and is not making ice but my freezer is working and my refrig, but neither has lights in them. What is needed? Do I need a new emitter and recieving boards? Will that also turn the lights on?

Thank you for your question. If your ice maker is not making ice, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the ice maker, the water inlet valve, the water filter and the water fill tubes. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Hello Baba, thank you for reaching out. When the push button gets stuck, the water filter can be released by removing the front grill and allowing the filter to swing outward. We hope this information helps!
First I shut the water off to the refrigerator.then i pushed the big button in the middle of the grille below the refrigerator door. pulled out the old filter, took the front cap off the old filter put it on the new filter. took the two red caps off the new filter. pushed the filter in till it locked in place. all done!
