A repairman wanted to charge me $250 to do what I did in about 20 minutes for about $120.

Removed the 2 screws holding the light bulb shield, then the 4 uolding the metal panel. Unplugged the olw door switch and replaced.
reassembled the pieces.

First shut off water supply and unplug power. Unscrew icemaker assembly from side wall with 3 screws. Remove front cap and you can clearly see module. Unscrew and remove module ( only three screws). After R/R the motor assembly and returning the ice make to the freezer all that remiand was to see if it worked.

Within 10 minutes I had the wonderful sound of water filling the ice maker tray. Within 30 minutes of that, ICE!!!

I first replaced the switch and had no results, I then ordered the Light Socket Kit, and because I had the experience of removing the panel to replace the switch, it took a few minutes to remove the two screws behind the panel, removing the temperature control knobs and then releasing the face plate which is secured by tabs at the bottom. ... Read more The kit came with extra connectors in case they were needed, but they were not in my case and so I pulled off the wires, pushed the old socket out and the new one in. Attaching the wires to the correct pins, I screwed in the light bulb to be sure that the fix was correct and determining that, I replaced the screws that held the panel in place. Voila, I'm a happy camper who found some outdated jars in the back corners of the newly lighted shelves.

Unpluged the refrigerator, removed the burnt out switch by unpluging it, plugged the new one in re installed the switch into cover. Plugged in refrigerator replaced cover. Done. Easy as one two three

replaced the water filter. very easy, just insert and turn.

Repair went well,took about five to ten minutes to disconnect the power from the fridge removed the defective switch installed the new one ,reconnected the power,,,and Let there be light and there was light!

It takes some time but can test amount of water in the cube maker with your fingure.

ordered the part, pulled out the icemaker unit, removed the module, put the new module in, reinstalled the ice maker unit and let it run.

Removed ice maker from fridge. Removed motor assembly (3) screws on cover, and (2) screws inside. Removed mold (3 screws on bottom) and replaced everything in reverse order. Note: Turned ice maker off for several days while waiting for parts. The water line on this particular model will freeze inside the freezer if ice isn't made for ... Read more several hours/days. These are instructions are for replacing the see-through covers (manufacturer part number WPW10131132) on the two upper door utility bins.

First it is easiest to remove the entire bins rather than hold open the fridge doors while you work.

There are two plastic studs on the bin body designed to fit through the hole ... Read more s in the bin cover. The tips of these studs will have to be simultaneously compressed with pliers (thus two sets of needle nose pliers) in order to slide the old cover past the studs to remove. Unless you have three hands, you will need another person to slide the cover left past the studs while you are handling both sets of pliers. Although the studs are pretty flexible, be careful not to break them off in the process. Once the cover is past the studs you can pull in free.

installing the new cover is easy. Since the studs are tapered, simply align with the holes on both ends of the the cover with the studs and apply pressure to the right. The cover will slide over the tapered studs and lock into place.

Once the new covers are installed, simply reinstall the complete bin back on the refrigerator door. Just push and snap in the tracks on the refrigerator door interior body.
