Using the precise instructions provided by parts select, I used a big screw driver and pried off the old coupler and cleaned the area and screwed on the new coupler. Fixed!
The part finally arrived 3 weeks later, after being out of stock and back ordered a couple times.

I inserted a metal rod in the bottom of the base while I held it sideways to keep the motor from turning and I used pliers to twist the coupling off counterclockwise.

Of course when the new one came days later it was easy to twist it on. Thank you for all of your stories. They were very informative and encouraging. Without them I'm not sure if I would have attempted it myself.
