KRMF706ESS00 KitchenAid Refrigerator - Instructions

I took a chance and ordered a switch that is next to the top of the door. looked for how to remove it easily done in ten minutes works fine last long time.

I carefully matched the model number to replacement part cross-reference and ordered the Part.
You-tube instructions were accurate except for the plug wire that prevented removal of the auger motor. It took significant maneuvering to drop the old motor. The new motor fit in better but the male plug configuration did not match the f ... Read more emale plug from the refrigerator.

A lot of wasted effort and time as well as expense! What good is matching replacement parts when the replacement is not correct?

Just stood in front of the refrigerator and disconnected the water filter and replaced it with the new one I purchased from by hand

Removed old, installed new.

Killed the power to the fridge. Then, used a small, thin screwdriver to depress the clip on the bottom of the switch and wriggled the old switch out. The two wires easily came off the contacts with pliers. Connected the wires to the new switch and snapped it into the hole--clip facing down and contacts facing up. Turned the power back ... Understood the problem by removing the old dispenser first. That made me realize I also needed the shaft. Went online and matched up all the #’s and the repair went smoothly.

I watched some of the you tube videos , the repair went well
just followed the directions the repair took less than 30 mins

Looked for the same repair on line by model number. I found it, watched the repair, then used those instructions to complete the repair on my refrigerator. The disassembly and reassembly took longer than actually replacing the part. It now works beautifully with NO leaks.

Lower the filter cover on the refrigerator, twist the old filter to remove it, install the new filter by pushing and twisting it, and close the filter door.
Using a pitcher, run water through the new filter until the excess carbon leavings are out then the water is clear and is drinkable

Very simple fix, remove 3 screws, two connectors to the old switch

Just open the filter and put it in the slot

The light rocker switch wasnt working. I found the part on the web site. It was so easy. I used a screw driver to pop out the old one and pop the new one in. It took 5 min. Thanks!!!

I removed the switch housing (4 screws), replacing the switch in the housing was a snap. It took 5 minutes, cost $8 and light works like new!

Why didn't I order this part and do the repair earlier? Very simple.

Replaced the light that was out.

use kitchen knife to pry out. replaced switch assemble and pressed back into place. Could not have done this with out help from previous customers. Thanks
