KRBX KitchenAid Refrigerator - Instructions

Snapped on the new toe grille.

inserted a knife between the switch and the plastic interior in order to pop the switch out.
then took off the 2 wires on the old switch put them on the new switch and reinserted the switch into the plastic interior.

Caused the shelf on my fridge to break a ladder hook. I didn't even know where to begin looking for an Amana refrigerator shelf mount bracket, but luckily found this website from a Google search. The part was super easy to find, arrived in two days, and was a snap to install. What did people do before the internet?

I simply removed the old switch by gently pulling down on the old switch with a screwdriver. When it was about half way out I just gently pulled down on the old switch and it popped out... Read more he connectors off so I used pliers. It worked perfectly.. When pulling off the old connectors, make sure you attach the new switch to the same tabs on the new switch... It was very easy to do and took under 5 mins.....The light switch works perfect....P.S. You should unplug the frig while making the connection just in case....Safety first....!!!

Bought a new shelf

Take everything off the top self, lift the self install the new part ,put self back in place and then install the drawers again. Took minutes.

My unit was a bottom mounted freezer, the door assembly and side out rack unit took more time then the repair. Once you take the back panel off it is just a matter of unplugging and two screws. Easier to pull fan mounting housing out to replace motor. Be careful its all plastic, pot off fan blades off shaft, pot out old motor, pot in new ... Read more motor, slide fan blades back on shaft, make sure you get the mounting housing behind the duck that goes up to your refrigerator section, two screws and plug in connections and your done. Put back panel, rack and door assembly back in and you are friggen again, once you plug it in of course.

Unplugged refrigerator,cleaned out freezer.Removed shelves in freezer compartment(that took some figuring to unlock sliding sheves)Our freezer is on the bottom.Removed four screws from back cover to expose fan,removed screws and attached wires.Carefully opened plastic clips after pulling fan off shaft.Replaced old motor after reattachin ... Read more g rubber seals.Closed clips to hold motor and placed fan back on shaft.Reattach wires and screws. Put cover back and replaced shelves.Plugged in refrigerator and wallah refrigerator part was cold again!

I came across this site and looked at the diagrams. Instead of buying a new crisper bin frame, I noticed that the crisper bin frame was missing the frame brace. I purchased the frame brace and installed it in the crisper frame, which was easy to push into the slot. This solved my problem. No more sag!!

Removed the freezer door, by loosening 4 screws and pulling upwards to disengage door from frame. Removed the top basket by pulling up on both slides on the gear shaft sides, note they have retaining tabs you must push in. once the slide / guards are up the top basket comes out. Remove the bottom basket. Remove to angled screws on the top ... Read more tracks and remove. Remove 6 screws on bottom slides, 3 per side and slide out as a whole unit. Unplug the ice maker, remove 3 screws for it to come out. Note I cleaned mine while it was out with vinegar to remove the mineral build up on it. Remove the screws in the back panel, and pull it forwards. The top vent has 2 clips that hold it in and you will need to remove it prior to fully removing the plate. The plug for the icemaker needs to be removed also. Pull the back plate out. Once the plate is out you can see the fan and access it. Unplug the clips that hold the wiring harness secure. 2 screws to remove the fan assembly. Once fan assembly is out, disassemble it, then reverse assemble it with new parts and fire it up. Mine took right off and running like its brand new.

DEFROSTED REFRIGERATOR COILS, BUT DIDN'T REPLACE THE GROMMET.

Just slipped it in. I think it's a very poor design.

I replaced the Control Board...
the two boards need to be installed first . than plug in the connectors
(refrigerator was unplugged of course.!) i plugged in the connectors first. and had to disconnect them. install the boards first. than plug in the electrical connectors.. strange for a day or two it still did not work proper ... Read more ly and than one day. it started working ok 7 on the freezer and 3 on the refrigerator. I do not know why..

Unplugged fridge
Pulled light cover off
Used screwdrivers to press in on tabs holding control board cover.
Unplug wiring harnesses.
Snapped board in two.
Install in cover
Reattach wires
Done
