Begin the repair by disconnecting the compressor from the power source. Locate the suction valve in the pump head and remove the valve guard. Remove the valve seat and detach the suction valve and spring. Place the new valve components in the pump head and ensure they are securely fitted.

Replacing this assembly is easy and requires you to first power off the pump and disconnect the pump head and gasket. You can then remove the old assembly and install the new one. It is recommended that you replace the gasket at this juncture as well, but it is not mandatory. With the new assembly installed, reinstall the pump head and test your pump.
