PartSelect website indicated replacing the high voltage power supply diode is the solution for "no heat" 99% of the time, but the diode was OK. As an electrical engineer with knowledge of microwave components, ... Read more this was also my best guess. However, getting to the magnetron is not the easiest job, but it's not impossible. You also have to be careful to bleed off any charge stored on the high voltage power supply capacitor. Luckily, I found my KitchenAid service manual tucked away inside the unit since I couldn't find it online.

Looked up the Whirlpool Co. and ordered the part. It was quite simple. Arrived in 2 days and I simply placed it in the microware. It was very very easy!

Took out turntable and swapped out old one with a new bright and shiny
New one, ring that is. It was easy using the part from parts select

It took me time to remove the parts and suss out the issue, but the repair itself was EASY. A wire ribbon connected to the circuit board had gone bad. One Phillips head screwdriver, 7 screws, to get at the old one, pull it out, replace it with the newly ordered part. NO PROBLEM. Ladies, you can do IT!! You have the power!

used screw driver to pry up old part. lifted right off. line up drive couple drive push on. repair took less than 1 minute to repair. works like new

removed perimeter screws from the bottom side and the lower cover is hinged at the wall side. Motor is visible and easily removed with two screws. The new vent popped right in. Screws easily secured. Same size. Same color. Good as new. Was very simple to do.

I really did not have a repair on the microwave just a replacement of the browning pan

First, we had to clean up all the interior surfaces, which was just cleaning. There was no internal damage. Then, just setting the center connector, rotary rollers and glass plate. Simple

Opened door and put new plate in.

Placed order on Thursday evening and received Sat Am

It took me 15 minutes total - 5 minutes to clean the microwave, 1 minute to install three new parts, and 9 minutes to enjoy my celebratory glass of wine!

both of the pieces have a tab that help remove the pieces. They slip right out and new ones are putin place.

Thereafter, I had to adjust the door interlock switch behind the microwave console panel to recognize the microwave being closed. Yes, gaining access to all these areas was a bit difficult but have patience. TADA!!!....microwave is working. #girlsrock

Ordered a new motor. Removed the outside trim of the oven-microwave combo. 2 screws at the bottom of the trim. Removed the screws that held the combination micro and oven unit in place. Removed the top and bottom black plastic grill of the microwave. 3 screws each. Pulled the entire unit out about 1 inch exposing the screws at each ... Snapped off the top control panel which exposed the wiring connecting the control panel.
Unplugged a couple of wire harness units to free the control panel.
Be sure to label the units to know which goes where during reassembly.
Remove the microwave unit from the housing and place it on its side.
Remove the metal plate that houses the motor. 4 screws hold the motor in place. Disconnect the 2 wires from the old motor and you are ready to install the new motor. Be sure to TURN OFF THE POWER to the unit at the breaker box and remove the turntable from inside the microwave.

After looking at several UTube videos it was straightforward. The door had to be taken apart which wasn’t easy. The front door had to be taken apart. Then it was easy…:-)
