several grate pads fell out/lost /broke during cleaning
The only real issue was locating the proper adhesive to ensure that the new pads would not fall out. The small insert paper slip in the package noted that a RTV adhesive should be used. After much searching at the home improvement super store, I learned it would be found at an auto supply store. It is black, and is for high temp use. It is available in a small tube for around $2.00. The RTV is usually used to make gaskets for heat/oil exposure in auto repair. I did have trouble removing a broken stub from a pad that had broken off in the hole. I used an awl to get what I could and push the rest into the hole deeper, then insert a new pad with along with the adhesive.

Missing bumper pads
Original bumper pads NOT glued into the burner grates. Hence they began to disappear during routine use and cleaning. Very simple repair with a little glue this time around. But fairly expensive for a very small part set

Knob on range top did not work.
Since removing the burner valve would disable the cooktop, I ordered the valve first. Unfortunately the valve could not be removed because the screw that hold it in place was frozen to the valve and manifold. I finally had to cut the screw off with a hacksaw. Since the screw is a special screw, substitutions did not work, so I had to order the screw and pay shipping a second time. These screws should be included with the valve. Anyway, the hacksaw did some slight damage to the manifold so that the screw did not seal off properly. I had to use a Dremel tool to smooth the surface and then use fiberglass to coat the surface to seal any scratches or potential leaks. I screwed the screw in after applying the fiberglass resin to the manifold surface while the resin was still pliable. This seemed to seal the manifold off so that there is no leak, but it does make me nervous. Because of having to reorder for the additional part, the range top took almost a week to repair and could not be used during that time all because the screw was not included with the burner valve. Also a screw with a larger head would have allowed a larger wrench to be used and the screw could have been removed easily. The screw head was so small that it rounded off from the wrench making it more difficult to remove.

Rubber grate pads that protect the range top had worn and were flat.
It didn't. The grate pads (PN# PS389174) were too small for the grate (W10311216) and wouldn't work. (PN# recommended by Whirlpool parts department) The pads were smaller in diameter and shorter. Yes I could have glued them in, but because of the size the pads would be flat in no time. The only thing I could order from KitchenAid was the total grate. I ordered the pads late December, they were backordered. I got them the 1st week of February. I tried getting through to Whirlpool by calling to see if there was something I could reorder, but no luck, couldn't through. Am I unhappy? Oh some, but I handle it. Its not the first time I have been rode hard and put away wet.

No spark to any of the burners
I slid the range out about 8 inches from the wall, and having unplugged the range and looked at the diagram from the Parts Select site, I used a mirror and screwdriver to remove the screws holding the small rear cover. From there I removed the one screw holding the spark module and that way I was able to hold the old and new one side by side to move the wires. Reversed the process, easy peasy.

Symptom: No clicking spark to any of the burners.
Based on symptom, knew either switches or spark module. Checked continuity to each switch. Knew if only one faulty, entire harness must be replaced. Checked out good. Spark module isolated so replaced it.

bought a used dual fuel professional type range
It was shipped across country and arrived in good condition, but was missing the trim top. I ordered the part online from partselect, received the item in a well packaged carton, removed the item and secured it to my next to new stove. it looks great-the right part-the right fit. Thanks

feet on gas stove top grates were gone
Very simple, cleaned out what was remaining of the old rubber feet and just pushed these in. I didn't bother glueing them in as I didn't feel they would fall out. If they do, I'll go out and obtain the glue that is mentioned by others in this thread. Very satisfied.

One of the pads on the bottom of the grate kept falling off.
I was able to order the part I needed. The faulty pad had a broken stem.Several pads came in a bag so if I have the problem again I will have the parts on hand. I bought some RTV glue suitable for items at high temperatures; used a probe to make sure the hole in the grate was clear and clean and glued the new pad in place.

Burner grate pads worn off or missing
I took a jewelers screwdriver and completely cleaned out what was left of the old pads. Then applied a small amount of heat resistant rtv sealant to each hole, slid in the new pads and wiped off the excess. I let everything set overnight. The next day everything was solid. Job was complete. Note I've done this before and did not get the results I did this time. I believe it was the instruction that came with the pads and the tip-off to use the rtv.
