Loosened the two nuts that hold the element in place. Gently pulled the old elementr forward to expose connections. Disconnected the old element and attached the new element. First my husband removed the two screws that held the heating element into place. I had tried it with pliers which didn't work well. But with the proper socket the screws came loose easily. Oven is an in the wall unit. Normally it is an unplug and plug in. The old one had a melted connector, so the connector had to be cut off and replaced as well. Be sure to turn off the electricity at the braker to be safe, first.

If I didn't need my oven ASAP, I would not even have attempted to do this repair before my husband came home. But he wasn't going to be home for hours, and I needed it now!

That was it! It worked great!! Very simple.

First unplugged the stove, then removed the screws holding the element in place. Next I pulled the element out until the wires were visible and unplugged them. After removing the old element, I plugged the new one in and positioned it with the screws. Plug the stove back in and done.

Removed the racks first. Then removed the two screws that held the element in place.
I then pulled the element out about three inches
exposing the connecting wires.Each wire has a female slide type connector just disconect each one and then connected the new element .
Attach new element by reptacing the two screws.

I watched my husband do this repair so if it happens again I can do it myself. Really easy--unscrew screws, pull element out, unclip wire connection. Re-clip to new burner, put back in--done. Saved a $100 tech trip PLUS double mark up on part!

Unscrew the old one and unplug the wire leads. Then plug in the new one and bolt back up.

I just removed two screws. Pulled the element out, unhooked the wires. plugged the wires into the new element screwed it in and was done

I unplugged the damaged unit and plugged in the new one.

Try to buy new unit from local dealer, was told unit was too old. Went on line to Part Select and found part needed and ordered part. When part came, I removed two screws from in oven and four screws from back of range, discorrected two wire leads from bake unit, removed old unit and installed new unit, connected wires, reinstalled back c ... Shut off the power at breaker to range,removed the screws and pulled out the element a few inches to disconnect the wires .Connected wires to new element., screwed it back into oven wall.It's a snap!

first i remove the two screws that hold the element then i pulled the element out few inches out i disconect the two wires and i put the new element back in place 10 or 15 minutes top.really easy
