KEMS309 KitchenAid - Instructions

Had a technician from Home Advisor to check the problem out with my Whirlpool Double oven(1 1/2 old). Paid $60 to find the problem. According to the technician problem was control board and cost of labor and parts $465.00
Jumped on Part Select website, placed a question with my stove problem through the chat. Immediately they answer ... Read more ed my question and told me the problem was the Terminal Block. Cost of part and shipping $25.00. Replaced it myself and everything works fine.

I just placed the tray in and was done. The kicker is that i cannot use my microwave without the tray. so i was without my microwave for 2 weeks before i called parts select. they were quick and fast.

Initially I called kitchenaid and the representative suggested I call one of thier designated repair guys to come out for 120.00. Fortunately, I got the part number and model and found it on this website. It was so easy to replace!! Just fit it in the designated opening and twist it until secure. Removed oven, removed top cover, replaced thermal fuse, removed back cover, replaced fuse in rear. Both fuses went bad due to self clean cycle. I feel like I almost burnt my house down and the fuses did their job. No more self cleaning for me

We got on YouTube and watched a couple of repair videos. We decided that the repair was something we would try to tackle ourselves.

The replacement turntable we received was an exact duplicate of the original. It was as easy as rinsing the new turntable, taking the old turntable out and putting the new one in.

The part showed up with no markings on it saying it was glass or fragile or anything. So naturally, the UPS or whoever people broke the glass in transit.
Have been trying to get it replaced/returned for almost a month now.

Customer service is a joke and when you call the 800 number it always says "no reps are available"< ... Read more br />
AVOID using PARTSELECT at ALL COSTS

I removed the 2 screws holding the sensor in the back of the oven and pulled the wires out. The connector got hung up in the insulation. Rather than pulling too hard, I loosened up the heating element plate and screws and pulled the whole plate out an inch or so so I could work the connector through the insulation. I forgot to shut off ... Read more the power. When I put the sensor on, I got the same error. I briefly shut off the power at the breaker and turned it back on. The clock on the oven did not reset. It still didn't work. So I took the whole thing out, shut off the power, reconnected it, turned the power back on, reset the clock, and it worked! Should have turned the power off first and I wouldn't have had to do it twice.

1. Turn off the breaker.
2. Remove all of the oven racks.
3. Remove the oven door as per users manual.
4. Remove two 1/4" screws on the plate holding the broil element
to the back of the oven.
5.. Remove two 1/4" screws in the front of the element holding
reflective plate and element toward th ... Read more e front of the oven.
6. Carefully pull the element out enough to remove the wire spade
contacts with from the rear of the element with long nosed pliers
being careful not to let the wires go behind the rear oven cavity.
7. Element and top reflective plate assembly can now be removed
from the oven.
8. The old element is removed from the reflective plate by removing
four 1/4" screws.
9. Install the new element on the plate and reverse the procedure to
reinstall the completed assembly into the oven.
10 Reinstall the door and racks, turn on the power and test.

Ordered a new one, put it in place in less than one minute.

This was easy to replace. I removed the oven door for easier access to the back of the oven. Removed two Phillips head screws that hold the burner element and disconnected the two wires on the burner element. I could have left the wires connected, but it was easier to extract the sensor with it out of the way. The only difficulty was fish ... Read more ing the sensor connector out through the hole. After that, easy peezy.

Should be about 1 5/8 inch with 3/8 inch prongs. Sent bulb won’t fit.

We bought a really nice microwave for about 1/3rd of the MSRP, but it was an open box item and when we got it home we found that it was missing a bracket on the inside of the microwave. We were able to replace the bracket easily thanks to partselect.com.

Set the new one inside the microwave

Part arrived in timely manner and placed it in microwave oven.
