Pull it away from the wall and take everything off the back. Unscrew the element cover, cut through the insulation and remove the part. Not easy, watch for sharp sheet metal edges

This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TOUCH THE REPLACEMENT LAMP WITHOUT WEARING CLEAN GLOVES. FILM OR FINGER PRINTS ON THE LAMP GLASS WILL CAUSE PREMATURE FAILURE OF THE LAMP.

Remove the 4 screws on right and left mounting rails that hold the unit to the kitchen cabinet.
Remove the oven door
Remove the chrome oven vent strip below the ... Read more oven door. This allows a pry point beneath the combo microwave oven assembly to lift up the unit while pulling it out. (Assembly weighs 250 pounds)
Pull the unit out from the cabinet housing about 2-3 inches to reveal the right and left sides and the 4 screws holding the the control panel.
Remove the 4 control panel screws and pull off the face of the control panel
Remove the 2 harness connectors and the ground wire holding the control panel to the unit.
Unclip the circuit board above the lamp connector and slide it back out of the way. The lamp is now accessible.
Remove the lamp spring holding the lamp to the cabinet.
Remove the old lamp
Install the new lamp using clean gloves
Reassemble in reverse order.

The instructions from another customer was helpful. I concur with another comment I read while researching this proceedure. What Idio-- would design a microwave that required pulling the unit from the wall and removing the top panel just to access. So, the F9 error indicates a electrical power issue. First I pulled the oven out and verified I had 240 volts at my outlet.

I removed the whole back panel and everything else seemed OK visually.

1. I go new connectors for the oven plug, stripped the wires, and crimped on the new connectors.

2. The terminal block DOES NOT come with the nuts to connect the wire to the terminal block. Mine were so corroded they had to be replaced. So I went and purchased the correct ones and installed the terminal block and reconnected all the wires.

3. I applied some dielectric grease to the connections through out the process of reinstalling to prevent it from happening in the future.

Our double-oven is wall-mounted, so accessing the backside to change the wires (as shown in the instruction video) was not a practical do-it-yourself option. We attached twist-ties to each clip/wire before disconnecting to keep the clips/wires from pulling back behind the oven wall when moving the new element into position. We found it necessary to crimp a few clips onto the new element to make secure connections, but the rest of the project went pretty much as shown in the video and the new element works great.

Had a technician from Home Advisor to check the problem out with my Whirlpool Double oven(1 1/2 old). Paid $60 to find the problem. According to the technician problem was control board and cost of labor and parts $465.00

There were 4 screws to remove and 2 wires to disconnect. We placed the order on line for replacement. It arrived the next day. We simply installed the new element by connecting the 2 wires (very easy) and putting the 4 screws back in place. It works like new and was sooo easy.

I just placed the tray in and was done. The kicker is that i cannot use my microwave without the tray. so i was without my microwave for 2 weeks before i called parts select. they were quick and fast.

Initially I called kitchenaid and the representative suggested I call one of thier designated repair guys to come out for 120.00. Fortunately, I got the part number and model and found it on this website. It was so easy to replace!! Just fit it in the designated opening and twist it until secure. The existing bake element was charred and in pieces so could not be pulled out. We destructively disassembled the range and pulled out the pieces along with the melted insulation. The wall behind was also scorched.

This is the third time that the bulb went out.It took two Sears service technitions to remove the entire appliance out of the cabinet. The entire top has to be removed and the insolation has to be pulled back to get to the electrical wire. I am waiting for an appointment to get Sears to do it again.
