Range element shorted out
I priced a new two-burner unit and it was going to cost $300. I took the broken unit apart, saw that it was an element that had suffered catastophic failure and found partselect on the internet. $60 and three days later I had the part in hand. The repair was "a piece of cake." Thanks for saving me a lot of money.

large element failed
Easy removal (lift and pull) of the the two element unit from the Jenn-air stove top. Placed unit right side up on a work surface. used a nut driver to remove 12 screws from the unit. removed the glass cook-top, revealing the two elements. Un-hooked two wires off the old damaged element, placed wires (plug and play) onto the new unit, then replaced the glass cook-top, used the nut driver to replace the 12 screws. Pluged the unit back into the Jenn-air stove top.

Electric coil burned
The repair was easy but the replacement coil had 4 connections while the old one had only two. After calling the distributor with no explanation of how to solve the problem I was given a telephone number of Jenn Air. They explained that my unit was too old and they no longer provided the part I needed.
I then decided to do the following. Of the 4 connections on the replacement coil, two are larger and two are smaller. I then decided to connect the wires to the two larger connections leaving the small ones free. I replaced the cooktop and WOW it worked. Not sure what the smaller connectors are used for but with old cooktops it seems they are not needed.
I can submit a photo but have no means to do it here

I snapped a bolt on the main power terminal block when connecting the pigtail.
Removed the small metal panel covering the main power terminal in back of the electric range. Removed the nuts holding the red, white and black electrical wires from the range using the appropriate socket (there will be two nuts on each bolt end). Removed the two screws holding the main power terminal block with appropriate screw driver. Connect the new main power terminal block to the range using the two screws. Reconnect the red, black and white electrical wires coming from the range using one nut for each wire. IMPORTANT: do no over tighten the nuts because the bolts could snap. Reconnect the pigtail and secure the small metal panel covering the main power panel.

large element burned out on smooth top surface cooktop
I lived with a burned out element in my smooth top cooktop for a couple of years. When the second large element burned out, with a house full of weekend guest coming, I decided I had better do something. Checked out PartSelect, found the replacements. I am a 73 year old grandma. My grandson and I replaced the elements within 20 minutes and we were cooking for 16 people. Woo Hoo! Removed eight screws lifted off the glass top, removed two electrical clips, removed the old element and reversed the process X 2. Great company to deal with, fast shipping and I love the tutorials. Since August, we have repaired our old dishwasher and gas dryer. All with parts from PartSelect. Thank you PartSelect.

There was sparking coming form the module and I when I took it apart I discovered that the burner itself was not the problem. The metal parts that held the burner in place had come loose and was shorting out against the 220 line.
I used a nut driver to take the module apart. When I discovered the problem I simply threw the module out but kept the ceramic top and then ordered a new stove top. The burners would be a snap to install if the clips that secure it in place had not ALL broken off. All you do is pull the wires off with a pair pliers and set the new unit in place and reattach the wires. All that would be left would be to reattach the ceramic top and set the module back into place on the stove top. The modules were discontinued and no longer available any place. Believe me I tried. The delivery to me from Parts Perfect was very quick and without any hassles. I had no problem returning the burner. I would recommend these people any time.

circuit breaker blew
I went to the source of power on the stove and noticed one of the terminals had come loose from the terminal block and had shorted out against the cover of the terminal junction. After prying the loose terminal off cover I ordered new terminal block and received it the 2nd day. I removed the old terminal block and replaced the part in about 10 minutes..Thank you Parts Select for your easy to find diagrams and quick delivery.
