Bought a new
capacitor.

I didn't do the repair. My grinder is 12 years old and I have probably ground more than 3,000 pounds of coffee through it over the years. It is a good idea to replace grinding burrs every few years to maintain grind consistency. When I pulled the old burns out and compared them to the ones I just bought I was shocked. The 'new' ones looke ... Read more d more worn than the ones I've had for 12 years. More so, the burrs looked like they were made from cast metal, not cut from stainless steel. And they were poorly cast at that as there was pits in them. I used a 10x jeweler's loop to inspect the burrs & after inspection decided not to replace my worn burrs with a duller set. I'd like a refund, please.

This was a simple job. Raised the flap in the back that houses the compressor, removed the wire that holds the relay, pulled out the old relay and pushed the new one on. Replaced wire holder and that was it. Plugged it frig and freezer is at zero and lower compartment at 35. As easy as brushing your teeth!

I located the part that was the culprit as it had buzzed very much before quitting. This is an easy removal as the part is in a two prong jack and just needs to be carefully removed with the new part inserted back in the jack provided. The site offers a video for this part which worked perfectly. In addition to replacing the part, since the cardboard panel was off, we also cleaned all the dust off of the coils which someone recommended to do annually.

remove 2 screws from thermostat cover on side of freezer pulled temp nob off then removed temp control and copper temp sense rod by pulling out then unhook wires then reverse procedure to put back together

Remove the cardboard access cover at the bottom back of the fridge. On the left side, locate the run capacitor. Remove it by prying it loose from its socket, after first removing the wire hold down clamp. One wonders why the clamp is there, which makes it difficult to get the run capacitor out. I was lucky, since a failed run capacitor is the problem only about 12% of the time, based on what I’ve read. Hallelujah! It was the problem with my fridge.

Opened mailer and bag and place the drain plug into the drain. fit perfectly. In fact it is better than the one lost since the original needed a screwdriver or tool to remove the plug. This one has a flang or finger turner on it so that it can be removed. Also, does not interfere with items in bottom of freezer.

Defrosted freezer, hose broke due to dry-rot. Used towels to let water drain into pan. Now with the plug minimal frost build-up. No ice at all. Now if I could get a new hose to drain the water that would be great.

Removed plastic guard on underside of grinder.
Loosened two screws holding guard from underneath.
Replaced guard and replaced screws.
use tape on screws to hold while lining up blind.

Ordered the Capacitor and the Thermostat Control. Parts were received in a matter of a few days, easy to install, but did not fix the problem. Had to call a repairman to fix the problem (compressor relay - this part not available to order for this model number with Parts Select). A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy i ... All I had to do was remove the retainer screw with the allen wrench then put the knob in place and replace the retainer screw with the allen wrench. It took me longer to locate my allen wrench in my toolkit than to make the repair.

The sliding shelf side rail is held by three philips head screws that tighten into nut inserts. No amount of tightening would keep two of the three screws tight. I found that the nut inserts which are plastic and insert into the side of the freezer would pull loose, probably from years of overloading the sliding shelf basket. Ordered t ... Read more wo nut inserts from PartSelect. 1. Remove three screws to remove shelf slide side rail. 2. Remove nut inserts to be replaced with needle nose pliers or reinsert screw a couple of turns and pull nut insert out with pliers. 3. Insert new nut inserts, position side rail, and tighten screws. Replace sliding shelf/basket.

pulled out freezer, went to floor,reached in next to compressor pulled off clip just like on the video.Pulled off old capacitator took off wire leads.Installed new one. Freezer runs great.Loaded it up with beef pork and venison. No problems.
