KBRA22KMWH00 KitchenAid Refrigerator - Instructions

First I removed all the screws from the back cover.
2nd removed fan nut and fan blade
3rd removed fan bracket
4th I traced wire to the condenser and disconnected wires from wire nuts.
Installed existing fan brackets to new motor kit
then reconnected wire nuts to new motor cord

We followed the instructions in the video! Excellent step by step. The hardest part is prying the console off, located in the ceiling of the refrigerator. The other tricky thing is to be sure the belt that operates the temperature control is lined up properly when putting everything back in place. There is a larger notch that has to li ... Read more ne up with that larger opening on the belt. Definitely keep the video available as you install the part and remove the sections in the same order as the video. Couldn't be easier!

The instructions in the package were not helpful. They wanted me to cut the wiring harness and described where to cut based on the wire colors. My wires were not the same color! It was easy to push the whole assembly back into the door. I spent more time looking for something to cut the wiring harness with (and never did find it) than the whole job actually took without needing to cut anything!

Disconnect plug from wall. Insert putty knife between light switch.and trim panel , apply pressure to depress plastic spring holding switch in place. Apply a slight twist too putty knife releasing switch from trim piece. This wil expose plug connected to switch. Disconnect plug from switch. Connect new switch to plug. Insert switch into ... Popped out broken switch with blunt flat edged instrument. Disconnected switch from unit . Plugged new piece in and reinserted into side panel of refrigerator. Very easy.

Popped out the old switch and replaced it with the one dying

Pried out old part with screwdriver. Unplugged. When new part came, just plugged it in and pushed the part into place.

It was easy, remove clips and install new basket hanger and then just clip on the clips.

I took out the old one and put in the new one. For some reason the repair story associated with the ice bucket had nothing to do with ice buckets.

Needed ice maker bucket for extra fridge. Part came the next day, and worked perfectly.

Just plugged it in

I just popped out the old switch with a flat head screwdriver. Removed the connections and then installed new switch by reversing steps. Popped in back in and the light went on.

I removed 7 screws hold the heavy cardboard cover on the rear of the fridge. The dificult part was taking the screws that hold the 3 fan motor braces on the fan out. After that it was a matter of making the wire conections and putting it back in. I did not have enough room to laydown to do the work, If i had it would have been a lot easi ... Unplug fridge, unpluged fan motor from plug socket, removed bracket screws, removed fan retainer clip from shaft. removed screws holding fan to bracket

The switch fix but did not fix the problem. I assumed the wires go on the same way as on the old switch. Is it possible if one light Burns out, the other will not work either?
