KBMC147HSS05 KitchenAid Microwave Oven Combo - Instructions

I took the new tray out of the box and placed it in the microwave oven.. No tools needed.

Replaced the glass tray

took the plate out of the shipping box, inserted it in the microwave

Removed the small metal panel covering the main power terminal in back of the electric range. Removed the nuts holding the red, white and black electrical wires from the range using the appropriate socket (there will be two nuts on each bolt end). Removed the two screws holding the main power terminal block with appropriate screw driver. ... Read more Connect the new main power terminal block to the range using the two screws. Reconnect the red, black and white electrical wires coming from the range using one nut for each wire. IMPORTANT: do no over tighten the nuts because the bolts could snap. Reconnect the pigtail and secure the small metal panel covering the main power panel.

Unplug power cord, remove wires from block. take 2 screws out. replace with new block about 15 mins. Done

Well the repair went Ok. The probelm happen on the following Monday. You see I ordered this part over the phone because I had to make sure it would arrive in time for Thanksgiving.

Lifted out the chipped one, inserted the new one. Pretty simple.

I went to the source of power on the stove and noticed one of the terminals had come loose from the terminal block and had shorted out against the cover of the terminal junction. Honestly, I was afraid to order from this website, but after reviews, I placed my order, and 2-3 days later, my glass tray was replaced in my Microwave! I was freaking out because you just cant go back to Sears or Standard Brands and get a new one...everything is on-line. Im VERY happy.

Had to screw off old terminal block & screw on new one

Broke again - same spring - 4th time, maybe 10 years old. Last break/fix was October 2010, so got just a little over 2 years out of a new one. Unscrewed the microwave door, held by 2 screws, near upper edge.The whole panel ie stainless steel plate with glass was removed.The door handle was unscrewed and handle removed.The handle was screwed into the new panel( Stainless steel with glass window)and then slided back carefully into the 2 bottom clips/holders.Holes were aligned and ...
