Removed the nuts holding the red, white and black electrical wires from the range using the appropriate socket (there will be two nuts on each bolt end). Reconnect the red, black and white electrical wires coming from the range using one nut for each wire. IMPORTANT: do no over tighten the nuts because the bolts could snap. Reconnect the pigtail and secure the small metal panel covering the main power panel.

We had to remove screws from the vent covers above and below the microwave, then there were 2 screws (one on each side) that attached the microwave to the oven. Removed door to see what happened to the spring, ordered new spring and door frame on line and replaced parts. Had to replace door frame as it broke while removing it.

Unplug power cord, remove wires from block. take 2 screws out. replace with new block about 15 mins. Done

Well the repair went Ok. The probelm happen on the following Monday. You see I ordered this part over the phone because I had to make sure it would arrive in time for Thanksgiving.

Removed the door frame by breaking it as there was no obivious way to get at a couple of the screws. Replaced the broken right spring as it was the original problem. Replaced the door frame by drilling a hole thru the exhaust tube of the regular oven mounted below the microwave.

Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. Had to screw off old terminal block & screw on new one

To remove the oven door, you have to slide 2 small nails into the holes in side of the hinges. When you then close the oven door, the nails force the hinges out of the oven box, and the door comes off. Lay the door on a cloth face down, and remove the phillips screws around the perimeter. Carry the door over to the oven and push the hinges in hard at the bottom. Lay the door flat to remove the nails. Close the door. Job done.
