KBFU KitchenAid Refrigerator - Instructions

Quite simple!

Turned the icemaker off (lifted the wire up inside the freezer). Used a pliers to turn and take the circular cover off..located on the bottom of the refrigerator grill..it was tight. very simple turned filter 1/4 counterclock wise removed insert new filter turned 1/4 turn clock wise finished

Twisted filted out from bottom of frig; removed cap and placed on new filter and pushed filter into bottom of frig and twisted clockwise to lock into place. Remove a few qts of water to clear new filter and reset light and was finished.

simple procedure of turning knob at bottom of fridge 1/2 turn to left, removing old filter, inserting new filter and turning knob to right. Used pliers to turn knob. Part replaced by female of the house.

very easy to install filter. unscrew and screw back in.

shipping was faster than promised. Installation was as easy as replacing a light bulb. Make sure you turn off the ice maker before removing old filter - this could save you a big mess. Also, make sure you run about a gallon of water through the system before you start using the dispenser.

turned the knob removed old filter, slid new filter on know and put back into fridge.

1) Turn off ice maker 2) Remove old filter by making 1/4 counterclockwise turn 3) Insert new filter and tighten 1/4 clockwise turn. 4) Turn ice maker back on 5) Press & hold "reset" button by utilization display to return to 99% - DONE !

I watched the YouTube video on your website, performed the task as depicted in the video, and had absolutely no difficulty. The fellow in the video must be stronger than I am, so I used a pliers to twist out the old, and twist in the new. And while turning off the ice maker first was a good hint, he forgot to tell me not to turn the old ... Read more filter upside down after removal because it is pretty much filled with water. I kind of think I'm pretty handy, but your site is really, really good for the average homeowner.

Turned off ice maker and removed the old filter at the lower front grate of the refrigerator. Replaced it with the new filter. Turned knob and was done!
