This filter, or fuel filter, is an OEM part that is sold individually. It is a plastic part with a felt filtration system inside, and serves the purpose of cleaning the fuel in your engine of debris. White and blue in color, the fuel filter may become clogged over time, starving the engine of fuel, causing poor performance of your engine or a no-start symptom. When this occurs, the filter must be replaced. It should also be replaced regularly as part of good engine maintenance, to prevent these symptoms. It is a repair our customers found very easy. Simply use a hook or pliers to remove the old filter from the tank, and insert the new filter into the tank.
