it appears that the seal between the two glass panes on the door of microwave have a leak. i keep food covered when cooking but liquids and fluids have gotten between the glass on the door and i cannot wipe it off because it is between the glass and otherwise the microwave looks like new. WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS?
Hi April, thank you for your question! The door is designed to stop microwave energy from escaping, however, it does not need to be airtight in order to do this. There are small holes around the door seals because the temperatures on either side of the door differ (i.e., the air in the interior cavity is hotter than that on the outside of the microwave). This causes air expansion in the door cavity, so there are air-release holes in the seal of the door to accommodate this so the pressure does not build. We hope this information helps!

We have this JVM 1790 BK01 overhead. Everything works except the microwave. We can use the convection oven...lights...exhaust... turntable...everything ... But if we hit the button to start the actual microwave function it makes a loud buzz / hum and blows the ceramic fuse. Would the cause of this possibly be the Diode string?
Hi Bobby, thank you for reaching out. We believe your microwave is having this problem because the shorted capacitor is causing the fuse to blow. Blowing this up only when the door is closed indicates a short circuit somewhere in the high-power usage circuitry. Try using your ohmmeter to see if the resistance from the line voltage wire to the ground is low when the power is disconnected. This is just general advice, not specific to your unit. You may also need to check the fuse, part number PS1481237, and the magnetron, part number PS12725839. Set your ohmmeter to the lowest resistance scale. Take a resistance measurement between each of the magnetron's terminals by touching each probe to one terminal. Reverse the probes and take a second resistance measurement. Each measurement should read less than one ohm. We hope this information is useful!
The only button that worked was the 30 second button but when you pushed that you could add or subtract time. Now the microwave won’t work at all the timer counts down but microwave doesn’t work

Turned out the issue was easily solved by replacing a single, inexpensive fuse.
First off, UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE.

... Read morerowave and remove another screw that holds a small metal grill in place. Removing the small metal grill is probably the toughest part of this repair. You kind of have to rock it back and forth a bit to get it to release. Once that's off, you can get to the fuse. I removed the burnt out one with a pair of needle nose pliers. I also put a small piece of cardboard under the fuse when I did this so I didn't accidentally drop it into the innards of the microwave. I did the same thing when I replaced the new fuse. I then plugged the appliance back in and made sure it worked. Once that was confirmed, I replaced both grills.

Turned of f the circuit breaker to the microwave. Unscrewed the cover (1 screw!) popped out the old bulbs and plugged in the new ones, using the bubblewrap as a handle to be sure my skin didn't touch the light bulbs so the oil from my hands didn't damage or shorten the life of the new bulbs. Turned the circuit back on. That's it!
