Turn off breaker to oven from electrical panel, locatge all screws and remove. Use caution when removing element from clips if not replacing the clips. When removing the element, be careful not to damage connecting wires as they do not pull out very far. Be sure to reattach correctly. When replacing the oven seal, be careful not to disconnect the wires to either element as you slide the oven compartment forward after removing screws. It can be difficult to find the wires behind the oven compartment if they disconnect.

With a nut driver removed the four heating element sockets (four small sheet metal screws) and the seventeen sheet metal screws that secured the burn box, removed the sheet metal box and inserted the new one. Not all the holes lined up at first for the screws, but starting in front with the four that did fit, the sheet metal gradually lined itself up with all the other holes for a perfect fit.

Remove old burnner bolws and install new ones

I ordered new drip bowls and put them in place. They fit just fine.

replaced pans- what I would like to comment on is the time- I ordered one day at noon and had them the next day at noon- I live in tiny town on northern border of USA- it was awesome- I couldn't believe it was them- 24 hours- super job and excellent price too

Unplug heating elements and pick up drip bowels and reinstall elements.

I removes the old element and drip bowl, then replaced the drip bowl, then replaced with the new element. Approximatly 3 minutes. . .

I simply pulled the old surface burner out, and plugged the new one in. It took less than one minute! The amazing part of this repair, is actually that PartSelect sent the replacement surface element burner OVERNIGHT! I could not believe it, and was VERY impressed with their commitment to help their customers in time of crisis. It arrived just on time for my Thanksgiving not to become a nightmare. Turned off power to oven. Lifted off the oven door. Removed four 1/4 " bolts from outside of fan housing. Removed two 1/4" bolts holding element. Removed element from three clips holding it to upper oven surface. Unplugged two element wires. Reassembly was the reverse. I am an auto mechanic by trade and this was a fairly simple process.

Followed the video supplied with the email on the parts order form. Biggest problem was pulling the range out from the wall, the repairs went without a hitch. The PartsSelect video was a great help showing the short cut to getting the new wires in by using the old wires as a pull wire.

unplugged old block from both sides, ran new wire and plugged new wire to both ends and presto it worked, thanks for making it easy to fix. Thanks- Michael J Dumas

Just had to change out the drip bowls, easy. But, I wanted to comment on the quick delivery on the new bowls. I was impressed. Thank you.

Took the old pans out and put the new ones in. Simple as pie

It wasn't so much the repair that was needed as how impressed I was with the fast delivery. Without a fourth burner & a holiday weekend coming up I was in desperate need of my element. I ordered it around 1:00 pm on a friday & it was delivered the next day before noon! Very impressed with the ease of ordering & receiving. Thanks again.

The new drip pans are great. I had purchased generic ones locally that were supposed to be universal. The problem was that they did not fit right and the burner coils did not sit flat. The new drip pans fit well and look great too.
