Unpllug the cooktop and turn off the gas supply. Remove the grates and burners.(they just lift out). Using a torx screwdriver, remove all the torx screws below where the burners sit. Hold the electrodes with one hand, while gently twisting and pulling the wire connector off. Now, remove the aluminum covered foam piece. You will now have acess to the wiring harness assembly. Disconnect the quick connectors and replace with the new assembly. Re-assemble in the reverse order and you're done. About 1.5 to 2 hours. Good Luck

A rubber grate foot on my range top had worn out. I pulled the worn foot out and installed the new grate foot with no tools or accessories. Good as new! Now I don't have to worry about the grate scraping my range top and scratching the paint. I also ordered extras so I won't have to wait if another wears out.

determined that the top of the burner was melted and malformed. Repair was simple: lifted off the damaged burner and slipped the new one in place.

Was able to see the exact part with easy to read schematic so I knew I was ordering the right part. Then just switched out the old for the new. Looks like a new cooktop except for the scratches in the stainless, but we are working on that! Thanks!

Very simple repair with no tools required. Turn off power to stove. Remove grates, remove burner, pull old Top Burner Spark Electrode up being careful not to jerk it up hard - wiggle if necessary, unplug wire from old electrode, plug wire into new electrode making sure it fits snug - if not, squeeze it closed a little at a time until it f ... Read more its snug, push new igniter into place being careful not to force it and crack the ceramic body. Install burner being careful not to damage the electrode, Install grates. Turn power back on and test to make sure it works. It took me all of 15 minutes to change 2 burner spark electrodes. The only bad thing about this repair is that the shipping costs as much as the parts.

Just put it on. Quite proud of myself for figuring out what and how to get the part however! The website was very helpful.

The grates arrived individually packaged in bubble wrap and in their own box plus those boxes were put in another box with bubble wrap. Very impressed with their shipping technique! The grates fit my cook top perfect! Nothing but good things to say about Part Select and their customer service. Awesome!!

I was pretty upset as the grate wobbled, so I went on line and looked for GE Profile parts. To my amazement, I found the little rubber feet quite easily, and within 2 days they were here at my home. I simply had to stick them in the holes; however, I noted that they did not fit real tight, so I removed them and shot a little glue on the ... Read more m, and they have been in place ever since. I JUST EXCHANGED THE BURNER AND BURNER CAP.

I removed the two range grills. Then I removed the two chipped burner caps, and replaced them with the new burner caps. I then replaced the two range grills.

Order parts and installed - no tools needed - completed repairs less than 1 minute

Unplug the range from its wall socket to avoid electric shock. The various range parts that support a pot or frypan are easily lifted off their perches, exposing the small white igniter. Replace igniter in its retainer, then replace the range parts you removed to expose the igniter and plug the range back into the wall socket. Piece of cake.

Remove the existing burner and install the replacement.
