A repair man came out and had to replace the ice maker

Our unit is a built-in unit so first had to remove the decorative cover panel to expose the internal on/off switch. Turned off the circuit breaker. Disconnected the wires (simple pull-off/push-on). Removed the old switch which meant clipping the plastic tabs holding the switch in position. Inserted the new switch by simply pushing it thro ... Read more ugh the opening being sure to have it in the same alignment ('off' to the back of the unit.) Reconnected the wires making sure to have a white ground wires on the left and the black 'hot' wires on the right. Turned the circuit breaker back on. Turned the switch on. Now it runs.

Local service person missed the diagnosis and advised $10,000 new refrigerator. I looked and saw that the switch was deformed and had burn marks. Searched for switch online. Found site Ordered. Part arrived next day. 5 minute job to replace. No tools needed. Refrigerator works great. Thank you t!

Took the old one out & replaced it with the new one

Unpluged the refrigerator, removed the burnt out switch by unpluging it, plugged the new one in re installed the switch into cover. Plugged in refrigerator replaced cover. Done. Easy as one two three

Had a hard time getting the refridgerator part of the filter to LET GO. The grooves weren't lined up with the areas meant to pinch. A knife on each side got it to release.

Lower the filter cover on the refrigerator, twist the old filter to remove it, install the new filter by pushing and twisting it, and close the filter door.
Using a pitcher, run water through the new filter until the excess carbon leavings are out then the water is clear and is drinkable

Just open the filter and put it in the slot

Just stood in front of the refrigerator and disconnected the water filter and replaced it with the new one I purchased from by hand

I followed the instructions in the appliance reference manual, and successfully replaced the water filter in 2 minutes, and reset the water quality indicator.
