After doing a YouTube search. I successfully completed the repair by easily diagnosing the issue with the element.
I watched a video about 5 most common problems with whirlpool broiler elements.
The first being to inspect the element for damage. I found a small section that appeared to be rough and had a raised bump.
I ... Read more decided to order a new element because the oven is older and it wouldn’t hurt to install a new one even if this wasn’t the issue.
Once the part arrived, which it did quickly, I followed the video instructions. It was easy and straight forward. I completed the task in under thirty minutes. It was very simple and I now have a functional broiler element.

Just follow included instructions.

used a screwdriver. took very little time and effort

Unplugged appliance, removed the 2 screws that mount element. Unhooked the electric wires,with pliers.
Connected, the wires to new element replaced the 2 screws. And was done in about 9 minutes.

after watching the video, installed the temp sensor. Super easy

My husband unscrewed the bad switch and replaced with the new one.

Lift burners out of plug discard old drip pans replace new drip pans into plugs and done .

very expensive to buy the part but just tighten the screw intot eh predefined place.

Removed old drip bowls, removed burners installed new drip bowls,installed burners. They fit perfect and I received them two days after ordering.

Took the old ones out and put in the new ones! What I am so pleased about it that I just went online and at Parts Select website it was easy to find what I needed, a fair price and the 4 bowls arrived within 2 days!

Our repair was extrodinarily easy. As my husband was taking out the old element and the oven was off, the element heated up and actually burned him. He readjusted it and it refused to heat again. removed two screws to faceplate at rear of oven. Disconntected contact wires, installed bake element reconnected contact wires, attached faceplate turned on oven holy hell it works just saved some money on service call thanks!!!
