What are possible problems/solutions when clothes are getting "tied"around the bottom agitator?
Hi Danette, thank you for your question. According to our research, there can be multiple reasons for this problem. We would suggest checking if the washer is loaded properly or not, or if the agitator base, part number PS11741151, is properly sitting in its place. A lower water level might be the cause of this issue. A faulty water pressure hose, part number PS11741846, might not be providing accurate information if the tub is at desired water level or not, resulting in a low water level during the wash cycle. If the agitator rotates in both directions, there is a chance that the clothes might tie around it. This unidirectional rotation is maintained by the agitator directional dogs, part number PS388034. There is sparking coming out the back of the control board. I took it apart but cannot find any black marks or burnt or frayed wires or burnt connectors. Any idea what may be causing it.

Why would this model fill with water runs through the motions shut off then i go check and it is full of water will not drain, spin, agitate or anything! I did take the motor off and checked the plastic piece that spins and hooks to the motor it looks fine to me nothing broken! Put it back together tried to turn it on and it just makes a noise from the motor like humming or trying to work but nothing???

The washer leaves a lot of lint on the clothes after washing them. It looks like someone blew their nose on them. Any suggestions? It has been this way for along time and i cannot get any answers

Excessive lint on clothes after washing may also indicate that the water pump PS11741239 is clogged or defective. When that happens, the wash and rinse water with all that suspended lint drains too slowly and leaves deposits on wet clothes. To clean the pump open the outer housing of your washer. Place a shallow pan under the pump to catch the water that is in the pump and hoses. Open the hose clamps with a pair of pliers or channel locks (better) and slide the hoses off of the water pum
... Read morep. The motor comes off next. Unplug the electrical connector from the motor and two wires from the capacitor. Remove the two screws holding the clamps in place and then pop off the two clamps. You will need to hold up the motor with one hand while you remove the clamps or it will fall to the floor once the clamps are removed. One piece of the coupling assemble will be attached to the motor and the other will be attached to the gearcase drive shaft. If you want to clean up the mess created by the shredded rubber center piece of the coupling assembly you will have to take off the motor mounting plate. It is held on by two bolts and removing it makes installing the coupling easier but probably not necessary. Push the back half of the coupling on to the gearcase drive shaft until the shaft is flush with the face of the coupling. Install the new rubber center piece on to the coupling then re-install the motor mounting plate. Install the other half of the coupling on to the motor shaft and lift the motor up to the coupling. You have to rotate the motor shaft by spinning the fan blades until the coupling lines up so you can slide it into the other half of the coupling. Then just reattach the motor, connectors and water pump in the reverse order of disassembly.

(You may want to remove the entire agitator and assemble everything upside down, then flip it all back over to mount, so the cogs don't fall out).
