We decided to use our crisper drawers to store sodas. Duh..bad plan. The rail that holds the drawers up cracked in half. So we just had the drawers sitting on the bottom of the fridge. So, I got the new rail THE DAY AFTER I ORDER IT! I just recycled the old one, and slid the new one in. Presto. Perfect fit. Actually, better then perfect. There must have been a defect with my old one, because the new one actually SNAPPED into place, instead if just sitting in the frame. So..I am really pleased.

its not that hard to replace. may need help to tilt fridge on one side so you can get to the bottom to remove wheel.Had to undo all four corner screws/bolts to loosen bottom section and slowly pull out base frame which holds the 4 wheels. this frame is also holding the compressor and fan so be careful.replace wheel and slowly put frame ba ck to position and screw back bolts. pull back fridge to upright position. leave unplugged for a day or two to allow gas to come back to normal level as we had tilted it.plug it back and it works.
thanks
Anoop

First, pulled knob off ot thermostat. Then, lowered control panel housing thermostat by unscrewing one screw. Removed old thermostat after taking off three wires. Replaced with new thermostat, secured wires, and screwed control panel to top of refrigerator. That's all it took. Challenge was finding the nut driver to loosen screw.

I bought a new Whirlpool Refrigerator that didn't have an ice maker.
I wanted to install an ice maker. I searched your web site and found the model ice maker model it said I needed. WPW10715709. This one was a 4 wire 8 terminal. I needed a 4 wire flat connector. WPW10715708. You approved the return. It cost me $50 to return it. I bel ieve you should refund me the cost of this postage. Your web site gave me the wrong model number.

Thank you

I ordered the frame shelf that I needed. I tried to take off the glass shelf off of the old broken frame. There are plastic grooves that the glass shelf fits into. I found that by running hot water on the grooves it made it easier to get the glass shelf out of the old frame. I used a very small srewdriver to move the glass shelf out and i t helped.

This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

refrigerator not always cooling
11 of 13 people found this instruction helpful.
  • James from East Greenwich, RI
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Pliers
After discovering I could give the thermostat box a rap with my hand and get it to start the fridge I got online at your site and found others were doing the same, before replacing the thermostat. I ordered the part from you and received it the next day! I used a long neck nut driver to remove the one screw holding the thermo box in place and pliers to unplug the three wires on the thermo unit. After removing the control knob it slides right out. I unwound the temp sensor wire and tried to shape it like the old one before installing(making this sensor fit like the old one takes a little juggling). Then hooked the wires on the new unit that you sent and the fridge started working again flawlessly. Big savings!
